As far as I can see from their website, the subscription is only for the iPad version. The MacOS DAW is a still one-time purchase at £199.99.
I have Studio One Pro+ subscription, which I suppose now has been converted or combined to include Fender Studio One Pro 8; and I was able to download Fender Studio One Pro 8 from my subscription area.
I suppose it depends on whether you have (a) the PreSonus Studio One Pro subscription, (b) the Fender Studio One Pro subscription, or (c) no subscription, at all.
The Fender Studio Pro subscription is found at the Fender website (
see below).
I am still making sense of this, but it looks like "PreSonus Studio One Pro+" now is "Fender Studio Pro Monthly Plan" but with the same price.
Now it's Fender Studio rather than Fender Studio One, which makes sense and brands it to Fender with a simpler name ("Studio" vs. "Studio One"), where the "One" mostly was historical but now adds no value, hence is gone.
"Fender Studio" is nice!
In my case, it converted and I had to login with my same email and password. Then what was "My PreSonus" now is "My Fender".
Getting all that working, is an accomplishment for the developers; and it's reasonably smooth once you do the conversion.
Finding where to download Fender Studio Pro 8 took a while, but I found it; and it installed nicely.
THE NEW FUTURE
I just finished Volume 10 of my book series "The Art of Digital Music Production"--currently available as a Kindle eBook--and I was going to do an editing round and then convert it to an Apple Books ePub; so this happened at an opportune time--except now I have to do new screen captures in some instances.
The nice aspect is that most of the work is what I already planned to do.
For reference, the Amazon application for doing Kindle books also outputs to "ePub" format, which is what Apple Books requires; so other than needing to redo a few screen captures, it's a good time for this transition from "PreSonus Studio One" to "Fender Studio" to occur.
I try to keep current on stuff; but for example, I did some screen captures of Reason 12 (Reason Studios) and then they released Reason 13.
After a while, you get used to everything changing before you can document it; but at least in theory it's better than my other job, mowing my sister's yards.
I enjoy riding around in the Hustler RaptorX zero-turn mower and pretending it's a tank.
