If you are having a problem logging into Studio One, please take a look at this article

I knew I'd get in some kind of trouble giving my $.02. From now on I'll keep my mouth shut.

Well I'm totally baffled by S1 options. I have S1 Pro version (I think). I got the activation request msg (on Oct 11) which I'd never seen before so I assumed they'd changed to some kind of subscription option. (I don't keep up with this stuff). So after several confusing logins I ended up paying $149 to activate and now I can use it. (But I don't see anything that costs $149 on their website.)

So after reading these posts it seems like I should have waited for something to get fixed? My copy says it's valid until 9.10.2026 even tho I paid on Oct 11. Anyway I don't know if I can resolve this since their support site is so convoluted I don't know where I am.

Just looking for some advice. Thanks.

edit: Looks like I bought the S1 Pro 7 Perpetual License Upgrade.
I raised a ticket with support and they refunded the $149 the next day. So I think I'm back to where I was. No explanation yet on what happened.

As far as logging in goes, for me it's been days. I had a Fender Play account from awhile ago and could log into that account with my Apple login into only to get the pricing page, but at least I could log in. I could log into my Persons account now with the Apple account, (I've uses a password since Persons started the subscription service,) but when I tried to log in to Studio One via the website it never logged in, just sat there with the little audio icon flowing. In my frustration I hit the refresh button on the Personus site like five times in a row and it took me to the log in page all the way. I hit the Apple icon and was finally able to log in.

I wonder what you expect them to say...? :)
Not a lot, as they would be in breach of the NDA they probably signed, also folk should not scapegoat individuals.
This is a corporate entity not a group of friends out for a night on the town.

I'm sure that the folk keeping the show afloat are dealing with a lot of other day to day issues.

However in the name of decency something from the company would go a long way to placate folk affected in this changover.
It did not impact on my use of SO1 but I do feel folk have a legitimate reason to feel upset.

Kindest regards to all

Exactly. It's just that an acknowledgement would go a long way. Everybody makes mistakes, the wrong is not the mistake, but not acknowledging it..

I was able to successfully merge my Persons and Fender accounts and now Studio One 7, the Persons Hub and my.presonus.com are all working correctly again. I first went to the Fender web site and logged into my account to determine if my Fender login user name and password were working. I then went to my.presonus.com and logged into there USING MY FENDER CREDENTIALS. When I entered the Fender user name and password I was redirected to a page that explained that going forward my Fender credentials would be used in place of my old Presonus credentials. I was directed to enter my Fender user name and password and when I did my.presonus.com site opened correctly. However, the main page stated that my subscription had expired and I was prompted to renew....which I ignored. I then closed the browser and opened Studio One. When it opened I entered my Fender user name and password and a dialog box opened asking me how I wanted to start Studio One with three choices 1. Using a subscription 2. Using my purchased perpetual license or 3. a trial period. I checked the purchased perpetual license. A dialog box appeared asking that I enter my activation code...which I was able to find and type in. At that point Studio One opened normally and is now working properly with the exception that it can no longer find the Spectrolayers 12 ARA plugin for some reason and I have to hit OK in a dialog box every time I start up. Hope this helps others.

UPDATE:

I just noticed that on the Studio One “about” dialog box it now reports that my copy expires one year from today! What! I own the perpetual version!

So the account login problem still persists. When I try to login to MyPreSonus it now tells me that I’m trying to login with my presonus password but apparently that’s different to my gender pw so I need to login with that one. I don’t know what my fender pw is. When I reset my pw through the presonus site it doesn’t help. If I go to fender it says no account exists with my email, however if I try to sign up to fender it says the email already exists 🤦‍♂️ same problem as the presonus account originally had. Anyone know how I can contact presonus or fender without being able to get into my account? This is so annoying!!

Those of us who used Cakewalk Sonar back when it was with Gibson - and anyone with Serif's Affinity suite of programs right now - will be having serious déjà vu. I'm firmly in the camp of 'cock-up rather than conspiracy', but experience leads me to understand that cock-ups are more likely when major changes are afoot!

It is long past time when PreSonus/Fender should have been making a public statement explaining what's gone wrong, and contacting users individually to explain how they should navigate through this correctly for their individual circumstances.

Or my post #69 on page 4.

I received a very clear explanation of what the date means from support.

Gray Wolf post was easier for me to locate, but yes that was a point you had in focus, I owe you one.

Kindest regards.

Thank you everyone. As long as our copy of Studio One perpetual remains operational I have no problem “reactivating” once a year. Now, if anyone has any idea how to get S1 to see my Specturalayers ARA plug-in again I should be back in full operation.

So, it's a simple matter of validating once a year. OK. Thanks, Gray Wolf. The day I had my problem with the "License Expired" I remember I logged into my account at my.presonus.com and all I did was copy my license number with the intention of pasting it into the thing that asked for it as if I was going to re enter the number from the my.presonus page. But I didn't have to paste it. Studio One just launched after that. And that was the last time I had an issue. I guess that was me re validating it even though I didn't know I was doing that.

:)JB
PS-My apologies for copying my response from tech support. I didn't read the "fine print".
PSS-I hope I can remember I need to re validate next year. Maybe admin should put up a "sticky";)

By now I should think we all got the email from Presonus. I hope this settles the matter once and for all.

So WEEKS after screwing Presonus users by FORCING us to create Fender accounts that many of us neither needed or wanted and then LOCKING us out of our Presonus accounts, (causing some of us to lose access to Studio One and LOSING sessions in front of clients.....UNFORGIVABLE!!), they FINALLY just TODAY sent out an email:

Dear PreSonus and Studio One family,

Since PreSonus became part of Fender in 2021, we’ve been working to bring all PreSonus accounts into the Fender system — an important step toward creating a unified experience across both brands.

Here’s what to know:

  • Sign-in options: Fender accounts now support Apple, Google, and Facebook logins — options that weren’t available with PreSonus. If you created your Fender account using one of these, use the same method to sign in to both Fender and Studio One.
  • Password updates: Fender’s security standards are higher than before, so some passwords need to be updated. Step-by-step instructions are available in the Knowledge Base article.
  • Need help? If you’ve tried these steps and still can’t access your account, please email support@presonus.com and our team will be happy to assist.

We’re grateful for your continued patience and understanding — and for the many of you who’ve already shared that your accounts are back up and running. Your feedback helps us make sure everyone gets back to making music as soon as possible.

This is what happens when hedge fund bean counters take over music companies. I've been a loyal Fender AND Presonus customer for decades.
I've never felt so betrayed, I'm done. Never shall I ever buy a new product from either company. I vote with my wallet.
