If you are having a problem logging into Studio One, please take a look at this article

Hmmzz, that was what Jonny Lipsham was referring to in the video.
He said:

“There is one thing, and one thing alone, you can do — and that is to email support@presonus.com. When you do that, one of our team — in fact, there’s a whole group of people — are monitoring that email address, assisting users, and getting accounts sorted out.”

However, upon doing so, you receive an automated reply instructing you to “create a support ticket via our support portal.”

Obviously, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

What an absolute mess.

It would be helpful if all the folk that are locked out were to post to this thread give some impression of the scale of the problem.

I would have expected a lot more posts than what we are seeing, so what is going on is still bit of a mystery?

Regards to all.

How long can one expect to be locked out of the program?
To be honest I wouldn't know...

Interesting point about the non special characters tho' if you cannot gain access to password reset routine!!!!

I feel the burn, had similiar issue myself, but that was a very long time ago and shouldn't be happening these days.

Best of regards.

What is even more confusing is that I did exactly nothing (outside of submitting a ticket) - and have the same expiry date - for a license that should not have ANY expiry date
Maybe that's kind of a workaround to prevent customers getting locked out of Studio One. For this purpose, Presonus could have set you on a subscription for another year so you won't be affected by this issue and they have another year to sort things out.

If so, I would be curious about what happens when the next update is released. You shouldn't get this update if you have a perpetual license that is older than one year. However, when Presonus set you on a subscription, you should receive this update (and others until 9.10.2026). You also could try to get access to Pro+ content. If that's possible, it would prove my "workaround" theory ;)

We are experiencing the problem here as well. Hopefully the issues will get resolved soon, this is a huge mess!

What is even more confusing is that I did exactly nothing (outside of submitting a ticket) - and have the same expiry date - for a license that should not have ANY expiry date:
It's a "validation" date. The perpetual license doesn't ever expire (despite the error message saying othewise), but the license has to be validated once a year for a couple of different technical reasons. I think the messaging surrounding all that needs some clarity.

IMHO.
So it's reasonable to assume @Vocalpoint validation date (as the example) will be updated and a new expiry date from that date will be 12 months later. Or if he were to buy another license the whole date data (start/end date) fields would re-set to that purchase date?

If it's a relational database in use it would also give lots of info re: Purchase periods/ sales levels and trends?
So it may be for more than just technical reasons.

But as I say IMHO, as I am just another user.

Kind regards

@Vocalpoint
Thanks for that, I will contact NI to sort out what action I need to take.
Could be an interesting exchange.

Take care got to do some real world stuff...later

Yeah, as VP says some of the older stuff won't be compatible with the latest versions of Native Access. As far as I'm aware, iZotope's Portal will continue for these items.

Had a chat with support yesterday and yes - and turns out that this "date" actually reflects a "re-activation" date. Whatever that means.

This is new to me. I did not realize that any perpetual license needed to be "re-activated" once it has already been activated.

Live and learn I suppose.

VP

I suppose it needs to transition from being a Plus activation to a bare-bones perpetual activation, but you'd have thought this could be an automatic process.

I was faced with the dreaded Reactivation screen message yesterday. I went through multiple steps to log in to PreSonus since it was now looking for a Fender login, Evidently, I had created a login to Fender many years ago (perhaps when I downloaded their free tuner on my phone). I couldn't find any Fender password in my password manager. In the end, I discovered I had used Facebook to create a Fender account. So now I have to use Facebook to log into Studio One which I'm not thrilled about. I contacted Fender support to change my account to a simple username / password combination, and they are not able to change that on their end. All this seems pretty sloppy.

Thanks @TimC340 and @Vocalpoint useful to know from both aspects.
Mistakes/issues etc. are one the best learning tools the human mind makes use of.

You would have thought it would be automatic but a blank field in some data bases will give a false reading so a date is required.
It depends on what and why data is being collated down the line. It's been some years since I read up on data bases so my knowledge could be well out of date as well. 🙄

Kindest to all

Another thing that needs some clear explanation is how I did not have a Fender account up to mid last week - and now I do - that is fully accessible by my existing Presonus credentials.

The grand "unification" of accounts is one thing - but I did not think this meant - "Create a user account at Fender - if the user does not have one"

That sounds dreadful, what would have happend had you closed your Facebook A/C in the period after creating the Fender A/C....!!!!
There should be some means of getting your details corrected?

This is not good, something needs to be done.

Best regards

This is "exactly" my situation too. Except I now use my Google account (not Facebook) to log into Presonus. In 2025 it seems uber strange to not ask the customer to select the single login that they would like to use in a case where they are consolidating logins. Like you I didn't even remember downloading the Fender app on my phone, let alone that I had evidently used my Google login to avoid the need to setup the Fender account in the first place. For a DAW company that purports to be people-centric, this seems anything but. Just COMMUNICATE. I remember the old joke line - "Our business would be really great if we didn't have to deal with customers all the time."

It would suggest that the Pro+ would be activated again should you register a new license for another twelve months...Yes?
You will have no access to any updates for SO1 until you do. Sorta makes sense, but the disjointed login process sounds like a right farce

Best and kindest regards to all

UPDATE: I tried accessing Universal Control this morning. It's asking me to log into my PreSonus account, which should use my Fender account login, which is now Facebook, but there is no option to use Facebook as a login. And I can't generate a help ticket now because, My PreSonus won't even recognize my Facebook login!

This is really getting frustrating. Anyone have a workaround?

Ah, so that's why I don't still have an issue. I don't have a Fender account.

This world is not kind to guitarists!

;)
I never had a fender account either and the whole botched migration cost me over $800.

You do now - trust me.

Cruise over to Fender.com and click Login (under the "person" icon in the upper right - and you will get this very familar looking screen:

Enter your "Presonus" credentials....and shazam!:
