Here are the main issues, presented in PreSonus Passover style...
The Four Questions (For PreSonus StudioLive III 32SC & StudioOne Pro)
1. On all other mixers, we plug in headphones and hear things... why on THIS mixer do we have to dive into a million settings and still fail to get signal working?
2. On all other mixers, if we raise the level of a fader, the volume raises with it, in real time... why on THIS mixer do we raise the volume, have nothing change, then scare everyone within 2 city blocks 10 seconds later when the volume change actually registers?
3. On all other DAWs, we play back what we have just recorded and hear it through the mains... why on THIS DAW & mixer, do we hear nothing until we spend an hour trying to figure out some crazy alternate digital routing just to get a signal?
4. On all other mixers & DAWs, we automatically hear audio sent out to MAIN 1/2 through the monitors... why on THIS mixer & DAW do we have to spend an hour or so playing with UC trying to digitally manipulate signals just to get audio through the monitors?
BONUS. On all other DAWs & digital mixers, a factory reset or default brings the gear and software into some logical order where everything works as one might expect... why on this DAW & mixer does it just start the whole process over with no audio from the headphone jack on the mixer nor the mains?
MORE BGD INFO: SL 32SC connected to Mac Mini M4 Pro via USB. Two mics connected XLR inputs 1 & 2. Two Eris Pro 6 Studio monitors connecter to L&R MAIN Outs on the SL mixer. Live output 'should' be the sound of the people talking on the mics, and StudioOne output should be the playback of recorded content in the session. Light experience with Studio One compared to 20+ years of Pro Tools (and other DAWs)
BEGGING for some help here. I have watched hours of 'tutorials' trying to find answers, and not finding them. We are on a time crunch and have many interviews to record tomorrow.
