Studio One 7.2.3 is now available!

As always, thanks for being part of the community and for helping shape each release with your input!

All the details are in the official announcement:

Feel free to share your thoughts below!

A lot of people say you shouldn’t update Studio One while you’re in the middle of a project... but that doesn’t have to be the case. I made a video showing how to update safely and smartly, even if you’re in the middle of a production.

Curious to see what happens now that my "annual updates" have expired. Oddly - I can download this new update - but installing could be another story....

Ah - I think I have my answer:

An almost all bug fix release I am all for! 7.2.2 has been wonderfully stable for me.

● [Pipeline XT] Changing the audio device block size now re-pings all instances

- THANK YOU

● [macOS] Freeze when replacing all events via option + drag from Browser
- Honestly thought I was doing something wrong. Thank you.

● Crash on closing certain Songs
● Ripple edit causes automation shift on unassociated tracks
- Good finds.

Always down for this type of release. Thank you.

Just downloaded and installed, have yet to run it fully!

@Vocalpoint looks like we might be good up until Ver 7.3 lands... interesting.

Just one quick question. I am curious where is @Ari / hope all is well !
Lukas, this is probably confidential, but If you read this and you are in contact with him can you send him our best regards from the Forum, I am sure everyone on here will be on that bus.

best regards.

Running it full on with the new plug-in I’ve been using called Meld and everything populates correctly and accurately. Thank you for this! Love the Pipeline fix. Helps me out a lot!

Hey, thanks for asking. I've been busy with a release from my company recently. ;)
Otherwise, I'm doing well.

Great, it's good to see you are OK !

 I suppose I've become fixed in my ways and seeing you doing these update bulletins.

Take care and kindest regards.

A bit disappointed by this update, we waited so long just for some bug fixes. It's still better than nothing, but I have to admit I was hoping for more..

It's not unreasonable to think that and it is what it is.

For me I see it from the perspective of running on a perpetual license and did not expect to be getting anymore updates ( 1st year expired ).
So having 7.2.3 suggests that folk can expect to get updates until a Ver. 7.3 drops and we are being supported with fixes before moving on to the Ver. 7.3

Kindest regards

I'm glad to see there's put a lot of effort in bug fixes. It's not the fancy pantsy shiny new glimmers, but it does take the product to the next level. I'll gladly wait a bit longer for the bling if it means the base is a rock solid program.

In fact, I'm even more looking forward to stability fixes and NI integration.

The fix for "● Global 'Delete Time' only affects the video's audio track if the video folder is closed" comes (at least) from my ticket. I was stuck on it two months ago, so I was very concerned about whether it was fixed. It looks like it's been done well!

There are also a few other fixes related to localization, which I hope will be available soon.

I will take a maintenance update with 35 fixes in it - all day - every day.

Nice, would you like to tell the community a little more about this release? Thank you very much.
What exactly do you like to know? It's actually all in the release notes:

Actually, this question is quite easy to answer. I want to know from @Ari if the PreSonus team will be working on a major update for Studio One in the near future. If so, when exactly this update will be released and what significant new features this update will include. Personally, I consider this general secrecy regarding software developments to be absolutely unprofessional and developed without the actual users/customers. Unfortunately, this affects almost all software companies. I am certainly not alone in this opinion.

I like maintenance updates, I'm also happy to pay when the feature set grows and builds or enhances the existing tools in SO1.

Best of regards

Oh I am sure we will get a chance to pay again. Time will tell.

But to be honest - I am very happy to get another stability update without reaching for the wallet.

And like the option to review and hold off - if I so choose.

But considering now that a very large segment of our user base has watched their annual updates expire - the time has come for Presonus to impress us. Do it and reap the benefits. Do it not and potentially expose themselves to survival issues if the cash flow does not stabilize - quickly.
