Android here. I have a serious iStuff allergy ;)

Android for flexibility & options.
Also; I spent 21 years as an IT wrangler for Mac networks and because of that horror, I'll never touch an Apple product again.🤪

I refuse to pay more than €300,- for a phone. That locks out any Apple...

We are in an "Apple household" for 20 years now. And of course everyone in the family has an iPhone. I like the integration of everything, e.g., I can answer a phone call while sitting on my Mac or using my iPad, without grabbing my iPhone (which might be in my jacket in the entryway). And I don't care about the price tags.

Samsung A56 5G 256Gb. Never had something from Apple and never will but my little Brother loves his iPhone and his Macbook.

Apple for sure. I totally agree. I think the whole ecosystem across all the devices is just incredible. My son recently gave me an Apple Watch and I can’t believe how amazing that is and how will it integrates into everything? Nothing compares to it.

Flip phone. My first "smart" phone was an iPhone. Had many Android phones since. I now avoid everything Apple. I resist interconnectedness.

For me iPhone - I love my iPhone multiple iPad ecosystem.

Been on iPhone since the original (which I still have), but I also use Android tablets (Samsung) which I like quite a lot. I also have both PCs (Windows 11 and Linux) and a MacBook Pro. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...

Had both. iPhones are just easier to set up and find stuff. To me there is no difference in how invasive any device can be. Samsung is terrible.

There’s a bit of static happening because of recent changes to Windows and the midi system. It’s broken a lot of long standing complex midi set ups.
I’ve watched a few recent videos by Reaper users who are switching to Macs.
All the good Daw’s are cross platform so no real learning curve involved in changing to a Mac for most.
W11 just broke my Motu interface so I’ve shelved it for now. It probably works better with a Mac

I find the eco system is essential for me. I have two Mac computers. One is the Mac Studio for music and the other is an iMac for the business and personal admin/office stuff. So if I have to send or upload a file to a client from the admin computer, all I have to do is get it ready on the music computer and it is already available on the office machine ready to send. I don't have to transfer anything from one to the other because they are basically mirroring each other which is very handy. I can get a musical idea and vocalise it into my phone anywhere say under Notes etc and it is already in both the other computers when I get home. With the watch I dont even have to get my phone out either.l I can just talk to it and the recordings are also there when I get home.

The Android phones have never really got this working anywhere near as well.

I'm a bit of a hybrid:
Cheap Android phone. No music apps.
Windows desktop PC. My main ride but it has to serve for music and other stuff, including a bit of gaming.
Expensive iPad - only used for music. More and more of my songs start here and get finished on the PC.

If you want to make music on your phone you can't beat an iPhone but, boy, do you have to pay for it!
If I had more space I'd be tempted to get a Mac Mini to dedicate exclusively to music and use a Windows PC for everything else but that's just not practical at present.

Love the Apple hardware - but want nothing to do with their eco system whatsoever.

The whole fam has iPhones but all are used as - phones and comms devices.

No network access, no services, no subscriptions - no nothing.
