I don't understand why so many people are having crashes. I've already taken two of my session files from 7.2.3 brought them into 8, mixed and mastered them both with no issues at all. I use TONS of VST and VSTi's. No issues whatsoever.
Can anyone out there (Ari?) confirm that if one "purchases" the upgrade (vs getting it via a "plan") one receives two years worth of updates vs just one?
Seeing some interesting observations from a few users on other forums saying their new expiry date in their accounts is now Jan 13, 2028
The page for Fender Studio Pro says "Discounted perpetual license upgrades available for previous Studio One Professional or legacy Artist license owners (log in to see eligibility).". I have logged in but it is still showing a price of £169.99 for the Perpetual Licence. Yet, elsewhere I have seen an upgrade price of under 100. Any clues, anyone?
i describe ,,, open my project wich work flawlessly in 7.2.3 , click to dropout protection from medium to off )
fender hang outs for a second and crash to desktop )
open 7.2.3 , open same project , repeated this actions ) - all work as expected )
Well that sort of clears up the discussion for us perpetual users.
Still wondering why folk are getting extended periods.
Is the system making errors or is there some sort of lucky dip going on????
I'm tempted but thinking let the dust settle first,
No , this happens usually because somebody saved some money and time on proper betatesting ))
The exact same thing happened on release 7.0, and you said exactly the same thing: there were no such bugs, but rather problems with plugins, the computer, the user, the moon phase, Trump's mood, and then later Presonus acknowledged these bugs and fixed everything.
I couldn't give a damn about the name. I do give a damn about my S88 Mk3 not being able to control the DAW beyond very basic features - my old Nektar Panorama T6 does a far, far better job. I am disappointed that Fender have not updated the scripts to take advantage of the Native Instruments v2 firmware for the Kontrol S Mk3s; this would have been a good opportunity to do that. Other features of the new version I do really like, such as the chord arranger ('Scaler 3 lite'!) and the Channel Overview.
If only those two—Arturia Keylab and NI Komplete Kontrol mkIIIs—were the only scripts Presonus, whoops, Fender hasn't gotten around to smoothing out or originating the level of integration you're talking about. There's a bunch more of them (Roland Fantom and Yamaha Montage, to name just a couple). That shot of Nile Rodgers says it all. We're old school. We're guitar oriented. We don't need to be in the MIDI Association. We don't need to work with other companies on technologies that float all boats.
I haven't heard it, and may never hear it, but I'd bet my last dollar UA's Paradise Guitar Studio eats "Mustang" for lunch.
Enough other people give a damn about the name, you can sit that one out
This is what I thought too- and then I saw Joe Gilders latest vid.
Let's put it this way - this ain't your Grandpa's Ampire
For the few amps he tried out - sounded very nice to me.
As a Fender guy with plenty of weapons over here - while I am pretty certain it won't be Scuffham S-Gear - if its as good as what was in that short vid - I will use it.
He had a look of utter disgust clearly written on his face as he went through the presets, but the money had been paid, so he had to smile and say how happy he was)

If it's a plug-in that crashes when this is not related to any beta-testing on the Studio Pro side. This discussion gets us nowhere without having any details about the plug-ins used in the session.
Again ,why is in Studio 7.2.3 i see no crashes at all ))in same project and same actions ( it`s repeatable - so it concrete bug)
(it`s my usual everyday mixing work , all plugins are updated and i use them in hundreds of projects )
Again , why is crashing -without any third party plugins ) ( only fender mustang )
I use VST effects plug-ins, as well as some of the native Fender Studio effects and Reason Rack VST (Reason Studios) effects; so having simplified iconic flavors is nice!
It's new for Fender Studio Pro 8, and I like being able to see iconic representations of the various VST effects plug-ins, plus I can double-click on one of them and the actual effect plug-in's Graphic User Interface (GUI) is shown, which is very nice!
I installed Fender Studio Pro 8 this morning; so I'm still learning about it.
The GUI is crisper, and I am finding new things that I like!
Do you like not knowing what will open when you double-click, the channel overview or the mixer? Because that's exactly how it works for me now unpredictably. sometimes it open mixer, sometimes channel overview ,sometimes both))
It's probably also a 3D party plugin issue, in an empty project with empty tracks.

First you say "all plug-ins are updated", then you say "without any 3rd party plug-ins". Are 3rd party plug-ins involved or not?
If 3rd party plug-ins are involved, then it's likely that it's a plug-in issue. If not, then it's more likely that it's a Studio Pro bug or a driver issue (- or both).
Does this problem only occur in a specific session, or in any session?
