Waiting for SO 7 update news

Fender Studio Pro 8 is out, check your PreSonus/Fender user account.

Nothing in mine or on the UK PreSonus website.

Probably only visible to people with a valid upgrade license. My license expired 4 weeks ago, and I don’t see v8 in my account, either.

My license is still valid until March 2026. But nothing on my user account (Germany-based).
My user account is also Germany based. I think we’ll just have to wait. There’s nothing in my Fender account, only in the Presonus account. And the purchasing options are still a mess: if you click on the $99 perpetual upgrade, you’ll be routed to Studio One Plus…

Fender Studio 8.0.0 shows up in my list of Products, on my.presonus.com
I'm in the UK. I have a Studio One perpetual license with support until May 2026.
I bought a German product. I now seem to have a US product. I guess that happened already.
Release notes attached.

This looks very odd to me and a very back door announcement if true.

I am pretty sure Lukas or Ari would have put up a notification on here.

Best of regards

The really important question is:

What will happen to this forum, i mean, it is named "Studio ONE Forum".

It's definitely an odd way of doing it, but it is true. Several people have their hands on it already and there are some worthwhile improvements. Not everything has been addressed, and I'd hope some of the bug fixes (see the release notes linked on my post above) are also applied to v7. It still hasn't appeared in my account, but as soon as it does I'll download it and have a look - it can be installed alongside v7 - though I'll keep it to a non-studio computer for now!

I have been in and out of both MyPresonus and Fender A/C nada nothing and the only asumption I can make is if you have a Pro+ then you get access now.
Speculation IMHO if accurate and it is available.
Looks Like a grace period sale pre official announcement maybe ?

Looks like us perpetual folk will be waiting on the sidelines for info to seep out, but without anything official I'm sitting tight.

Still all the best regards.

PS. Can some kind person report what are the minimum "system requirements" to run it?

I'm still on the 'Plus' account for another few months. I don't have the new software. I doubt the minimum system requirements will be significantly changed from what I see in the release notes.

Edit: but I think I'll have it very soon - I've just received updated packages for Ampire and Retro Mix Legends 'Alpine Desk', 'Brit Console' and 'Porta Cassette' (none of which mean anything to me!)

Maybe the roll out is being managed, if Ver 8 has been released then something formal should follow.

Nothing significant just curious...
I am interested to know if they have included the Snapdragon processors.

There is a Beta release for Windows-on-Arm. That should cover Snapdragon.

So they did keep the numbering. I would have expected a reset if the software had to change name, so I'm assuming their business model hasn't changed then.

The update looks a bit underwhelming at first glance, but since nothing has been announced yet, I'll just wait and see. The new modulation matrix sounds interesting at least.
