Using a Stream Deck + or Stream Deck with Studio One

Hi everyone,
Thomann had a sale and I picked a StreamDeck+ thinking I could program it for Studio One. But then I found a brilliant solutions by SideshowFX, they have profiles for StreamDeck+ and StreamDeck which go way beyond my programming skills:

I can definitely recommend those. They require a US keyboard layout (I have a German layout) so I just made a shortcut for my Mac to change to US keyboard as long as I am in Studio One. Works well.
I am now reaching for the Stream Deck more often than for my Faderport FP8.

Is it convenient for controlling plugin parameters? I'm hoping to someday find the funding for a piece of hardware that gives me physical control of plugin parameters.
I'm wondering if the StreamDeck+ is flexibly switching plugins as you're switching focus?

I have actually to yet test the plugin capabilities of the script as I use a nOb controller for most plugin stuff - best I have come across so far. I suggest you take a look at SideshowFX website, they have a lot of info available.

I have a Streamdeck XL and a Plus, but I still use MIDI controllers for plug-ins, as I guess I am just used to them (only got the Plus a couple months ago). I like the SideshowFX software too- Note that they run 30% off sales every couple of months. I think the last sale was around Valentines Day last month. They offer an email list and IMO don't spam.

I use 3 Streamdecks with Studio One. I started with SideShowFX stuff and just kept adding my own. Right hand on my mouse, left hand on top of the 3 Streamdecks and left side of the keyboard. It's wonderful.

I do not use them with plugins though.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but here goes.

I see Elgato are running a Beta test for an on screen app and wonder if any of you folk use a Touch Screen?
I'm thinking of joining and wondered if any of you have joined in and if there is any advice on things to try out.

Cheers and regards.

Edit: had a look around for more info on this. Cut to around 1min 16 in the YTube vid below it looks interesting, as it can be brought in and out of focus and allows multiple grids as an on your monitor screen tool.

Morning folks,
Well I had some time to spare this am, so I installed the Beta VSD as they call it. All went well.
Setting up is straight forward, one thing to watch for...when setting up a keyswitch to bring the VSD window on screen. Set the keystroke button on the Hardware first before you do it in the VSD settings, otherwise the screen pops up and focus moves away from the VSD setting to the onscreen grid. It's just a matter of doing it in the right order.

Other than that it's pretty much the same as when setting up the Stream Deck hardware.

Copied a couple of functions from my SO1 template across to test, no problems, worked as expected.
Everything works ok and I think it wil be a useful option if you can set it up so it brings up a range of switches for associated tasks. Bit like an extended tool set.
I am now looking at how to make this a fit my needs, anyone with a Touch Screen and a Stream deck should get a lot of milage out of it.

Best regards
