Unable to Video record effects from Studio One

I want to record myself playing guitar using the Windows Camera app, capturing the processed sound from Studio One and my Neural DSP plugin.
I’m using a PreSonus Quantum ES 2 interface.

My problem is that the Camera app (or Discord, or any other app) only picks up the clean guitar signal, not the version with effects from Studio One.
Here’s how I have my Quantum set up:

But if i choose Loopack as an Input. I it only "hears" the clean sound from the guitar without effects. What am i doing wrong?

That also happen with Windows Drivers and Neural DSP Stand alone

I hope someone has a solution ...

I think the best way is to download and setup OBS (free) and send your audio from Studio One to OBS along with screen displays and your webcam. Lots of options, takes some patience/reading if you're new to OBS.

Tried in OBS. This does not work either. No Audio on the loopback 1/2. There is even not desktop Audio. App Audio does not work too.

I guess the main Problem is, that WIndows does not hear Studio One Output on Loopback 1/2 only the clean instrument input. Thats why desktop Audio is also missing if i do a screen sharing. I get sound of every App on my Windows 11 via stream on loopback 1/2 except Studio One. This seems a bug to me.

I don't believe it's a bug, IMO. Windows doesn't make this easy, though, compared to a Mac. OBS is not intuitive at all. It's freeware. It might be hard to find someone who can walk you through the specifics of setting up your specific interface to do what you want the way you want. It takes a LOT of trial and error. I use a cheap audio interface with loop back that has worked for me. In the past I have used ReaStream, Voicemeeter and it's variants. Others have used OBS-ASIO ( https://studiooneforum.com/threads/feed-studio-one-audio-into-obs-via-asio.240/ ). Good luck.

I have both Voicemeeter and OBS installed, and while you have to spend some time getting the setup/loopback correct, it works flawlessly thereafter. Pilot error.

I posted a thread in the tips section on using ASIO with OBS. It works great! There are some other useful tips in that thread from members who have found alternate solutions.

Will that work with discord too? We want to play e guitar to backing tracks. Share Desktop Sound YouTube und Studio And play along. Discord hears YouTube on loopback 1/2 and any other windows app, except Studio One. Same with the windows mixer.
Will read your OBS Tipps but that won't help with discord as OBS has no Audio Output to Discord only the virtual camera with no sound. Or am I wrong?

I tried voicemeter banana. But as there is no sound on Loopback 1/2 from Studio One. Only clean input, not the studio One processed output. How did you get the Studio One Sound to voicemeter? Could you post screenshots, so I can configure it the same

Good read. I use OBS and while I enjoy its open architecture, I'm often bumping into walls to get what I need. Thx Craig.
I agree with the others that it is obtainable with OBS. @ CodonAgitat, you also may want to check out Craig Anderton's link for Asio with OBS. Also, that you have a loopback feature on your audio interface. Sorry, if I didn't see that listed somewhere already in this thread.

If you do a screenshare in discord. Do others hear your sounds from Studio One?

Usually these things start by understanding loopback, which can be a bit of a brain twister. Loopback is an output that becomes an input, so your processed audio (from Studio One) should go to the loopback output, and your recording app (Windows Camera?) should use that loopback input as its input.

To do that first of all select the ES2 as your Studio One and as your Windows Audio interface, and set Windows (or at least the Windows Camera app) to use Loopback 1 as its audio input.
Then connect your microphone to input 1 on the ES2, in studio One I/O set up a mono channel for that input and then a mono track for that channel, to Main. Use your Neural DSP plugin on the microphone channel.
Then in Studio One I/O set up a stereo output for Loopback 1 and set Studio One's Main output to use that Loopback 1 output.

Now audio should pass from the microphone to Studio One, through the microphone channel processing, to Main out = Loopback 1 out to Loopback 1 in, to Windows and/or the Windows Camera app. See if that works.

Thank you all. I am now a step further. Studio One sends on Main and Virtual 1/2. In The Universal Control Mixer i sent USB 1/2 to Loopback. If i use Loopback 1/2 as an input on OBS. I have Studio One Sound and Youtube. If i use Loopback in Discord i also get now the Studio One Sound. If i use in Discord or Windows Camera the Windows Standard Sound Input (which i set to looback 1/2) i get the clean input signal.

One more thing: Are you using low latency monitoring? If so then that may disable the Neural DSP plugin (if that plugin has more than 3ms latency). Just so you know.
