Two ways to install Sub Zero - did I pick the right one?

Hi,

I have 12m subscription of Studio One Pro+ and a perpetual license of Studio One Pro 7.2, which is included in the 12m Pro+ subscription. At the moment, I do not plan do extend my Pro+ subscription, which will end in December. I just want to keep the Studio One perpetual license.

Yesterday I installed Sub Zero and the Sub Zero soundsets. Sub Zero is working so far.

I installed Sub Zero from the "Studio One Installation" dialog in Studio Pro. Later I found out that there is another way to install Sub Zero. Both methods are explained here. According to this, installing it from the "Studio One Installation" dialog is for Pro+ subscribers (which I currently am), while owners of a perpetual license (which I am, too) are supposed to download Sub Zero and the soundsets from my.presonus.com (which I didn't, because the first way worked for me).

What happens to Sub Zero after the Pro+ subscription ends? As Sub Zero isn't Pro+ content, it then should still be available. Is that correct or do I have to re-install Sub Zero, because I did not install it in the way perpetual license owners are supposed to install it?

Regards,

Michael

I have been a perpetual customer since 2011 - and have used the Studio One Installation dialog for every install I have ever done.

Never have I needed to "download" anything manually via MyPresonus.

Thanks for your replies.

I remember in the Studio One Installation dialog, I had to tick "Pro+ Content" for Sub Zero to show up. I was a bit confused about this, because Sub Zero isn't Pro+ content. It's supposed to be available for all Studio One Pro 7.2 users, not only for Pro+ subscribers.

Same thing with Deep Flight One. This shows up in the installation dialog only when "Pro+ Content" is checked, although Deep Flight One isn't Pro+ content neither.
