The Drum Metronome in Studio Pro 8 (and how to work with Time Signatures)

I’ve just uploaded a new tutorial on the new Drum Metronome and the expanded metronome features in Studio Pro 8.

In the video I show what the Drum Metronome can do and how you can use it to make your jam sessions feel more musical and your recordings tighter and more controlled. I also cover the updated metronome settings, including how to enter time signatures.

If you haven't explored the new metronome yet, this might give you some useful ideas.

Thanks for doing this Lukas. The drum metronome feature is quite 'deep'

That's a helpful video.

As a brand new Studio Pro user, this Drum Metronome feature is something I found really attractive. As a terrible drummer myself, it's a much more musical - and fast - way of working for me, much like using a looper pedal with guitar or synth. Drum tracks can be refined later on (and I hadn't clocked the ability to draw the patterns in as MIDI either, which is great. I can see myself feeding them into Jamstix as the basis for a 'live-ish' performance.)

Hi.. I am really struggling to install the drum metronome soundset.. my studio rig is an offline system,.. there is no separate soundset download for the drum metronome on my fender account. can you please help?

Create Drum Click - yes! Exactly what I need for the collection of drum patterns that came with CW9's Session Drummer. It's like my drummer is back now. Thank you.

One question: Can it be used with MIDI and an external drum machine?

I've yet to use it that way, but my understanding is that you can convert the 'drum metronome' patterns to MIDI, put them on a track, and THEN drive an external device.
Look up Gregor's intro video on the new function.
