The Chord track and EZ Keys 2

I have recorded a guitar track and dragged it to the chord track.

Is there a way to get EZ Keys 2 to play along to those chords? I tried dragging the chord track onto the EZ Keys interface - that doesn’t work. I tried dragging the chords in the chord track to an instrument track - this gives basic block chords, as expected. I can’t seem to drag those MIDI parts into EZ Keys either.

Is there a way to do this?

Just found that if I right click the MIDI region containing the block chords, there’s an option to Export selection. I saved this to my desktop then dragged it into EZ Keys 2 - works perfectly. Then it’s just a question of using the “replace MIDI” function to change the block chords into something musical. Brilliant!

Even easier - dragging from EZKeys2 - is a one way street - from the plugin to the DAW.

You need to pick some phrases from the EZKeys library - just drag them onto the instrument track in Arrange view, ensure that track (in the Inspector) is set to "follow" the Chord track and then you will be cooking.

No need to build out a sequence IN the EZKeys arranger either - if you want to move a bit faster.

You can also simply drag out the entire set of blocks from the EZKeys arrangement window too - no need to use Export Selection.

This is how I do it - all drag and drop - all the time.
