Well, the whole idea for Presonus was to incrementally update S7 maybe four times a year without any "big ticket" additions, and that if you ever see an improvement or added feature that's a must-have for you, you'll jump back on board the subscription train for another twelve months. So a "one year" anniversary release with something special included kind of doesn't fit that model. However, the marketing gurus at Presonus will no doubt want to push some buttons and make whoopee about the one year thing.
Plus, it's theoretically a point in time when a lot of users will be considering whether to resubscribe or lapse into a perpetual license, and if the update falls outside the 12 month period and therefore wouldn't be included in the PL, Presonus might sweeten the pot with a significant new toy.
Mind you, I'm of the opinion that DAW developers have long been reinventing the wheel. I'd be really surprised if they came up with anything truly innovative or appealing over what S7 can already do.
