Studio One 7.1 - Discussion Thread

I was surprised to find that the grid visibility didn't seem different for me from the previous 7 release. Turns out that was because it wasn't (small bug).

In Gregor's new vid on 7.1 features, he shows that the "Display event as transparent" (which I had enabled so I could see the grid) was changed to "Show grid on events". In my case, Show grid on events was enabled, but it had inherited the Display event as transparent behavior.

Toggling it off, then back on fixed it, and now the grid is clear. And my events are no longer transparent - looks like that choice is gone.

I see, so it's your Mackie js control file.

Just a thought on your changing gain to maintain faders at zero for volume (unity). Just be very careful as the need to vary volume (in a mix situation), will be far more important varilying your faders, than varying gain. But I believe your point being you have different HUI mix mappings for different setups with various equipment set from your Mackie so I get it. That's a bummer that version 7.1 is causing that. I'm wondering if I will experience similar issues with outboard MIDI equipment (MIDI pachbay, Yamaha automated mixer, etc). So I'm going to hold off until the cookie crumbs are out of the bed.
Thank you for noting and I hope your issue gets fixed very soon
My midi and AES patchbay no longer function as expected on my PC but work as expected on my Mac. Maybe it’s a PC thing.

Any news on when 7.1 bugs will be fixed, so that we can all enjoy the new features?
By past experience: at least four weeks after the release of the last version - more likely longer. So that would be the end of February/beginning of March. But this is only a rough estimate - not set in stone.

I should be a little slower with replies :ROFLMAO:

Heck yes. That update fixed my ripple edit issues. Excited about this quick turnaround.

Hey @Trucky : does this include any updates to the PSO Contemporary Strings soundset version issue from 2017 to 2019?
