Solved Sound Set Builder 4 for Mac - Extension

Pinnacle Studio

New member
I went down a rabbit hole yesterday regarding Presonus Studio one Sound Set Builder 4 for Mac - Extension (2019). Bottom line, I have it downloaded and installed but can't open and utilize it. I've exhausted all avenues to try and delete and reinstall. My account says I have it installed, but I can't even locate it let alone use it. Perhaps it's not compatible with a Mac M3. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance.

The Sound Set Builder has been part of the core program since Studio One 5. There's no need to install it anymore. In fact, it can't be installed in current versions of Studio One.

Did you check if you have the "Mount Folder as Sound Set" option when you right-click a folder in the Files tab of the Browser? If these options are available, this means Sound Set Builder is present ;-)

Oh, Geeze! Yes, I have both "Mount Folder as Sound Set" and "Pack Sound Set from Folder". And it works! I never utilized a extension before and kept thinking it was a stand alone utility. That was too easy. Thank you!

For those that may wonder what utility this serves, it's a way to convert 3rd party loop libraries to a sound set that shows up in your Loops tab in the browser along with all the stock ones.

Yes! And Marcus Huyskens - as always - has some brilliant tutorials on the Sound Set Builder.
