Snare trigger track automation

Here's an automation challenge I'm hoping you can help with.
I'm mixing a song where the acoustic guitar strumming could really help emphasize the songs rhythm.
I'm looking to automate the acoustic guitar track fader triggered by the snare on the 2 and 4 of each measure. When the snare strikes I want to automate the acoustic volume to go up no more than a dB just to give more support to the snare. Can this be done without having to manually ride the acoustic guitar fader?

if I understand correctly you could feed an expander on your guitar track with the snare per sidechain.
