Thank you, Nikk. Fun making this one and capturing. I think you're right by calling it Atmsospheric. A better description than experimental. πŸ‘

Awesome, AAV, and sincere thanks, brother. I think I've reached the end of using Pinnacle Studio. As it looks, I'm going to move on to DaVince Resolve Studio. Its processing is so much faster, and it has a number of workflow benefits. Synth, and audio wise, I'm real happy with Studio One and even how I can return and play along to video. Totally seamless.

Nice one. Great start to my morning (+ coffee)

James this rules! Another great track

Thank you Ian for the listen and kind words, brother. The touch--monitor aspects have been working out in an exciting and unique way. So displaying that was half the fun. I'm using a Sony a6600 with Sony 18-135mm, which has been one of my best video and photography choices in the last few years. From low light, slow motion, subject tracking, lens quality, everything. I'm passing that along because I know you interact with people on a lot of AV projects. TY for commenting on my channel. πŸ™
Best, and safe.

Not normally my cup of tea but I had about a half hour to kill before having to head out for the night and I thought I would just "take in" some sounds. This was a pleasurable listen.

All the sounds were clear and distinct. Nothing muddy. Nothing lost (at least my ears). Everything seemed to have its place without fighting with anything else. And that right there is the goal of any genre IMO.

Well done.

Um....wow. While this being instrumental, it still has the feeling of earlier Genesis and Peter Gabriel....This is absolutely outstanding. I could totally see this being in a film like Interstellar or something along those lines. LOVE it when the beat comes in...the stereo field is phenomenal as well. VERY nice work.

Thank you bapu for listening, and your take on "Reach Far". Yeah, not my most melodic work, as the idea was to (as art can often do) provoke an emotional response. I had started an early post in this forum on the subject of using a touchscreen with S1. Besides the progresssive genre, this song became a path for revealing some touchscreen interaction (hence, "experiment"). Probably something I should have mentioned in the original description. Silly me.

Thanks, brother. Always my goal . I've been mixing live bands and shows/clubs for quite sometime here in NYC, and more recently simply developing mastering techniques for clients and with my own music.
Well done.
Thank you. πŸ™ I enjoy your stuff, also.

That's, really flattering, Midiboy. Especially when some of my biggest influences are Steve Hackett, and Robert Fripp (and Gentle Giant).

Awesome, and well.....thanks, truly. It's nice to know sweating the details, is noticed. From the synths worked up from scratch, to the stereo field, and soundstage.
VERY nice work.

Lokey, hey
Nice one, I can see your influences coming through and you use them well. 😎
Slip and snap, I do like your bass rhythms not overdone, but brings some energy and momentum.
The acoustic guitars have been captured well and the track has a nice balance to my ears.

They say beauty is in the behind of the holder.

Sin

Awesome. The bass is such an exhilarating place to be. To be in the pocket, or jazz it up. Counter and polyrythms are hypnotic. I think the clip launcher will help find new grooves going forward!

I have a few tricks to obtaining this, for no other reason than our house is noisy with pets (dogs and birds). So, I have a few contact and close mic'd acoustic guitar pickups like IK Multimedia iRig Acoustic Stage Digital Microphone System. A silent guitar from Yamaha, SLG200N. An Ovation Celebrity Elite (maple top), and just getting creative with large diaphragm condensers when I can get away from the noise. .

Hah! or as they say, "if I dont see you in the future, I'll see you in the pasture!" ; )
All the best,
Lokey

Hiya Lokeyfly,
You have some interesting guitars/ mic's / etc.
I have the same Yamaha silent, It has a nice feel and tone, the builtin reverb is nice, no fuss plug in and adjust to taste, instant gratification.

It's that creative space, I often wonder why I am drawn to music, I hope I never find the answer, the journey is the prize not the destination.

best of Regards

You have the Yamaha Silent also. Very cool!

I forgot to mention, I have an LR Baggs Lyric for my Taylor. Its a really good and simple system. For my Martin, I refuse to outfit it with an internal pickup for both boring the hole out at the bottom and altering the weight of it. So my workaround is using that iRig Stage unit. The pickup simply clips on to the sound hole.

Another gizmo I forgot to mention that I bought one month ago is the Katana Go (2nd version). It has some outstanding sounds for both acoustic and electric. It even fits right into the SLG200N like a glove. No wonder I don't get enough sleep at night. Plug that into the silent guitar and its sheer bliss. ; )/
That little Katana is a mΓ—^#^@&er.
Just passing some goods along.
