Possible Issue in Open Air2?

Can I get a few more of you to try this? It's a weird one....

Create a track (doesn't matter if it's audio or midi)

Add Open AIR2 to it and go to Halls / Large Halls / Bk Large Clear Hall

Test it to make sure it's working.

Save it.

Close the session.

Reopen the session. Is it still working? For me, I have to select a different preset and then go back to Bk Large Clear Hall. It's really annoying.

I've tried with a LOT of other presets (by no means all) and every one other works as would be expected after saving and reopening. So far, this is the ONLY preset that won't load at startup without having to change the preset and then change it back.

I'll put in a bug report, I just want to know if it's my system, or if it's global.
 
Works for me. I'm using version 6 but OpenAir2 hasn't changed since then. I did two tests:
1. Existing project with midi notes and some instrument VST. Added OpenAir2 with "Bk Large Clear Hall" preset and everything is properly recalled after reloading.
2. New project with Mai Tai and OpenAir2. Live play via keyboard works after reloading (without opening the OpenAir2 GUI before playing).
 
Hmmm...thanks. I wonder if it is something that changed in v7.

Right, but perhaps one of those bug fixes broke this? Its possible
 
Just tried this - and can't reproduce the problem. I loaded Open Air on a Kontakt 8 track with an NI virtual guitar on it. Loaded the "BK Large Clear Hall" preset, saved, exited, reopened. The Preset is loaded in the Open Air instance, and works. I can manipulate hall size, pre-delay, Mix, gain, etc. all normally.

What I'm wondering that may impact you, and always will cause my OpenAir2 to lose sight of a preset (every time such song is restarted), is when I load a 3rd party IR. The reason is I keep those Bricasti reverb IR's in another folder outside of the Presonus and Studio One folder. Is there some slim chance that you relocated that particular BK LG Clear Hall preset where it is suppose to reside? Maybe you saved the preset to some other folder outside S1 as a guess?

Open Air and the "Bk Large Clear Hall" preset works as expected for me after saving, closing and reloading.
I also tried shutting down and restarting Studio One and loading the song and everything worked as expected.
I'm running Windows 11 (24H2) and Studio One Pro 7.2.2.

That's a great thought, but no, I have not. It's weird that that is the ONLY preset that does this to me, so that made sense. I think maybe I'll make a slight change to the preset, save it as a custom and see what happens.
 
Have you tried creating a new song and running the same tests I did?
 
Well, that didn't work either. Made a new preset based on that IR...saved it in the same folder as all of the other large halls and still didn't work. Loaded a different preset, saved it. Came back and it's fine. It's like....just that ONE IR for me.

Multiple times. Yep. Then I experimented with other presets....and they all work just fine after saving and reloading. It's just that one IR that acts up for me....for some reason.
 
Maybe a corrupted install.

Try reinstalling Studio One (leave the current install as is) to another folder and test it.

ie. "Studio One 7 Test" folder
 
I wonder if I could just reinstall the soundset?

That preset is included in the Studio One installer (not a separate soundset).

As a test download the Studio One 7.2.2 installer and install to "Studio One 7 Test" folder (leave current install as is) and see if that corrects the issue. Be sure to run Studio One from that installation.
 
Well, I tried uninstalling the IR soundset and reinstalling, that didn't fix it....so then I saw your post to install Studio One 7 into a test folder...and that didn't fix it. Again, all other presets I tried worked just fine. It's just that ONE preset. So. Weird. I'll put a ticket in.

You know what? Something you said intrigued me....you said that that preset was one of the initial ones not included in the soundset....I think that's the issue....I found more presets that don't work...and I bet that is the issue....the initial installs...where do they go? Maybe that is what I need to fix?
