Possible Issue in Open Air2?

Oh ok.. Well, I uninstalled that and reinstalled it and it still didn't work. But thanks. I actually just renamed my Studio One 7 settings folder and am letting it build a new one to see if that fixes it.

That didn't work either. Same exact issue. So far I have found 2 presets that don't 'reload' for me. I've tried at least 20 others that do reload.


Thanks! I really appreciate your time and effort you put into helping. I did put in a ticket to Presonus and updated with all the steps I've tried so far.

Check the folder where your custom Open Air presets are saved...
Maybe they're causing issues for you.

The only preset I have in there is the one I created based off of BK Large Clear Hall to see if that would load. It's acting like some of the actual IRs are broken but you'd think reinstalling Studio One would fix that.

Where is Studio One and the soundsets installed on your system?

On my K drive. K:\Studio One Projects\Sound Sets

All of my Studio One stuff is in that folder. I don't keep it on my main drive because it's only a 500gb drive. But all of the other stuff works just fine. It's just these few IRs. Studio Grand, the orchestra, etc. All of it works great.

Thanks. I've done all that. One of the first things I do when I troubleshoot. It's what I do for a living. This one has me baffled though. I should try it on my laptop.

I found more presets that don't work...and I bet that is the issue....the initial installs...where do they go? Maybe that is what I need to fix?

Good question. I typically just take for granted that the installed Studio One presets (and IR's) are just within. Not always paying much attention any further. I would have tried your reinstalling the IR soundset as you did. Only, no show.
I'm out of bullets, but the few pre presets that just wont stay contained in the save is odd.
I'd probably punk out and do a whole reinstall, but thats not telling you much. I doubt a few presets acting in such a way of not remaining in a save would warrant anything other then a whole reinstall.

No worries. I did a new install of SO7 in a new directory and that didn't fix it either. I'm kinda starting to wonder if another plug in I have is interfering somehow. I can't say what company I do side work for, but I have ALL of their plugins (and it's a lot). But still, I can't imagine one of their plug-ins interfering with only a FEW presets from another company, especially since they reside in completely different folders.

Yeah, very odd issue. All of the bases to uproot this were offered. Just a thought, as Im still clutching the IR possibility. In Open Air, check the "drag or click here" field and make sure no IR from some location is there.
Also note where that default folder is placed. If you're using a Studio One preset, it shouldn't matter, but maybe there's some clue to what may have inadvertently been placed there.

Secondly, try an altogether fresh new song. That was suggested earlier by Trucky, and I may have missed if you tried that. I now you did a new install, but I'm wondering if the song itself has some snag in it.
I cant see all third party item impacting this.
Bummer, though.

Yeah, I've tried multiple songs and even a brand new, fresh song. So far, it's just 2 different IRs that I have found that do this to me.
What is interesting to me though, is I see you are not using Open Air2. You are still on the original, even though you have Studio One 7.2 according to your sig. I find that interesting. Is this something that may be broken in Open Air2? This is what mine looks like:

Also, @Trucky, my screenshot looks just like yours after reloading, but did you actually try to use it to make sure the verb was working? See, it loads, it shows the preset loaded, but it does nothing. There is no reverb until I go to another preset and then come back.

Can you verify if you actually ran a signal through it to make sure it's actually working? (Sorry...I'm not trying to imply anything, this had me fooled for a while as well). One thing I do NOT like about this plug in, is there is no signal indicator on screen if it is doing anything at all when getting a signal. Most plugins show activity when they are being used.

I think I found a way to fix it! Instead of putting the Open Air in the Insert on a channel, I used it as a Send into an FX Bus....and that works! Why that only affects certain IRs? I have no idea!

Oh sorry Midiboy, I pulled up an image to merely show that IR field. Didn't mean to cause the confusion. Yeah, only two presets acting up, and tried different songs. Ten-four.

I never considered your placement of OpenAir2, or why that is causing the issue.

Yeah, I should know better to put verbs on a send, BUT, I was only using it on one track, so I figured...why? Now I know.
