Softube are now teasing a new hardware controller of some sort. The 'small footprint' tag and study of the photo suggests it's a generic plugin controller (rather than Softube plugins only) in a smaller form factor than the Channel 1 Mk 3, but with similar control aesthetics to the Flow Studio. The announcement is obviously fairly imminent, so don't go buying anything for a few days...

This could be interesting ! ...there are already some established players in this small form factor arena.
DJ Tech tools Midi fighter, Oxi E16, Intech studio grid, and other's. It will be interesting to see what features and price point they are going for.

As I said, interesting times for midi controllers.

I studied the photo quite carefully and compared it with my Flow Studio. Looks like 14 encoders (three curved rows of 4 plus one each side at the bottom) and an unknown number of buttons - some illuminated, some not. I’d guess it’s the same depth as all their controllers and about half as wide again as the Flow Studio. Just from the size and knowing their other stuff, you’re probably looking at around $5-600. Just need to know what it actually does!

Not a fan of touch screen controls, lack of tactile feedback is night and day for me.

I've used such devices and the truth is, because you can't feel what you're doing, you end up looking at the little touch screen constantly and that ends up being an even bigger distraction than just using the damn mouse.

Similar sentiment to the Slate Raven concept... looks cool but not super useful to a mixer like me.

Exception would be something like a stream deck, because it's button-based...
But continuous controllers on a touch screen? Woof.

Yes to the Faderport, but the MP Midi is not just a touch screen!
Is this just a general touch screen comment I have no problem with.
In some respects, I find the idea that it's all about Fader's confusing. The channel strip on a main desk are covered in knobs and buttons
often feeding into a single fader...so knobs and buttons are a design fit for certain purposes. To each it's own use.

I'll upgrade from ioStation to FP8 or 16 some day ...
