No drag and drop in Studio Pro 8 but works in Studio One Pro 7

Well it goes even deeper.I map all my apps to a control deck.If I open Fender Studio Pro 8 via the button on my control deck I lose my drag and drop again. So I pinned Fender 8 to my taskbar and when I open it that way or just from its own exe file I still have my drag and drop functions.I also tested this with other apps and lost my drag and drop on them as well using the control deck to open them.I guess I will just use the control deck to open web pages and my amp sim plugins from now on since it messes with my other apps.Computers only raise my blood pressure and give me headaches anymore.I did not have Presonus Studio One Pro 7 mapped to my control deck and that is why it was working correctly.

Makes sense. This is a security/permission check that is failing between the hardware and Explorer.

Launching SP8 via a deck would uses the decks permissions and run the app with slightly different permissions than running it natively via a standard Windows process. The permissions must be same for both targets for D&D to work.

I knew there had to be something else going on here. Thanks for the additional info.
