Just got the 1.5 update, Bapu. Awesome set of features in the update - quick! One of the small gotchas I found in the earlier version was that some of the players could go out of the range of the instrument. I see that's already fixed. Thanks! Great plugin - thanks for the launch pricing. Always appreciated. I'll take any further feedback to your website. Cheers!

Version 1.7.0 is released
What's new:
• Generate chords from dropped MIDI — drag a MIDI clip out of your DAW onto the arranger (a section, or the whole song) and BassMuse reads the chords and writes them into the grid. No more retyping progressions you already have.
• Drag a single section's MIDI — a "Selected section only" toggle scopes the Bass and Chords drag-outs to just the current section.
• Split a section — right-click a section band and split it at any bar.
• Plus a documented setup for Waveform (Tracktion) in the manual.
Update from inside the plugin's updater, or download the latest from your account.

Version 1.8.0 is out. Here's what's new:
Flow — a new per-section knob that ties each note toward the next one across empty beats, so sparser lines hold together and breathe instead of leaving gaps. Every style ships with its own Flow default; dial it to 0 for the old detached feel.
Two new bassist styles — Sustained (Long Shadow), a held, root-anchored voice built to show off Flow, and Reggae (One-Drop), a deep, behind-the-beat dub bass. That brings the built-in roster to 18.
Follow section on play — during playback the selected section now tracks the playhead, so each part's controls come into view as your arrangement plays. On by default (File → Follow section on play to toggle).
Plus a Windows fix so the plugin now reports its correct version in file properties.

Version 1.9.0 is out, and it's all about transitions.
Fill — a new per-section control that builds a short bass run into the end of a section, landing right on the approach to the next chord. Turn it up for a longer, busier run (up to a full bar). Each built-in style has its own Fill default.
Per-bar Fill markers — want a fill on a specific bar? Right-click any bar and pick Light, Medium or Heavy (or No fill here to mute one). Every bar shows an F badge so you can see your fill map at a glance — handy for landing fills on, say, bars 4 and 8 of an 8-bar verse.
Fill direction — choose which way the run travels: Auto (toward the next chord), Up (always ascend), or Down (always descend). Set it per section, or override a single bar.

Live variation trigger — pick a MIDI note and, during playback, tap it to re-roll the bass pattern for the section you're in, live. It's a "variation pad" for performing: each tap steps to a new take, it lands cleanly on the next downbeat, and it's deterministic so a take is reproducible. Set it up under File → Variation trigger (Learn note, pick a channel, enable). A ▲N badge shows which sections are on a variation, and Bake current variations into song keeps one you love.
Choose where dropped chords land — drag a MIDI clip onto the arranger and pick the target: whole song, the selected section, the section or measure you dropped on, or append after the last bar. If the clip is longer than the target, BassMuse asks whether to clip it or extend.

When you drag a chord clip onto a bar and pick "From this measure," BassMuse now fills the progression forward from that bar toward the section's end — and leaves the bars beyond your clip untouched. If the clip is longer than the space left, you choose to clip it to fit or extend the section. The upshot: dropping chords no longer inserts bars mid-section, so it never quietly changes your arrangement's length.

BassMuse 1.12.0 is out, and it's a big one — four new features:
Variation browser. The live variation trigger now shows the effective seed for each section, and ◂ / ▸ buttons (or a learned MIDI note) let you step back and forth through your rolls to find and reproduce a line you love.
Capture chords from MIDI. For DAWs that won't let you drag a MIDI clip in, arm File ▸ Capture chords from MIDI, play a chord track into BassMuse, and the chords land in the grid.
Per-section time signatures. Right-click any section band ▸ Time signature to set its meter (13 options now) — a 3/4 verse into a 5/4 chorus, right where you build the song. Odd meters like 7/8 finally play at their true length.

BassMuse 1.13.0 is out — a focused release for building dynamics into your arrangements.
Silence a section or a bar. Right-click a section band ▸ Mute Section, or a bar ▸ Mute bar, to make the bass lay out there — a rest, or a "drop" before a big return. The section keeps its place, chords, style and length; nothing is deleted. Muted regions are dimmed and labelled in the arranger.
Keep the lead-out fill. Turn on "Keep fill when muted" and a silenced region still plays its transition fill — the bass drops out but the pickup that leads back in survives. The classic drop-then-fill.
