Studio One Feature Requests

Regarding "Shift + M" not working for you...
I made a "Test Toggle Mute" macropage to test if the "Toggle Mute" command works for you.
Just download the attachment and import the page to the Macro Organizer.
Then select the audio you want to mute with the Range Tool followed by clicking the "Toggle Mute" button.
It works as expected for me so please confirm if it works for you...

Thanks for the help. I tried, but it still doesn't work on a selected portion of the clip, only on the entire clip, so I'm forced to cut that portion.
I tried Shift+M again, but it doesn't work.
I'm starting to think it's a translation issue in the keyboard shortcuts.
The link for posting Feature Requests not works error 400
Thanks

Maybe the problem isn't so much with the muting as it is with the selecting. Try this:
  1. In Studio One's top toolbar select 'Link Arrow and Range Tools' so it looks like this:

  2. Increase the height of a track with events so that hovering over the top half of an event changes the cursor to a "+" icon
  3. Click-hold and swipe the cursor over a portion of the top half of the event (=selecting that portion)
  4. From the top menu bar select Event/Toggle Mute. This will slice the selected portion from the event and mute it:

See how that goes :)

Maybe we're right, thanks for the help, but I couldn't figure out why.
I think it's a bug in the Edit window, perhaps related to the language, because when I press Shift+M in the Arranger window, the clip splits and mutes, but when I do the same operation in the Edit window, it doesn't work.
There's still the possibility of improving the clip by not cutting when deleting or muting a part of it, which could be very useful and quick, as I mentioned previously.
Can you send me a link to report possible bugs to PreSonus?
Or do I have to do it in My PreSonus?
Thanks

Yes, that's from your My PreSonus account. You can open a new ticket with the blue "+" in the Support tab.

As for the muting: Yes, that will only work in the Arranger window. The Edit window handles only one event at a time, so no slicing there.

I think this is absurd,my thought.
Usually, I need to be able to do everything in the Edit window, and certainly more than I can do in the Arranger window. It wouldn't be called an Edit environment.
If I select a 4-minute vocal clip, in the software I use besides Studio One, I can do everything I need—trim, mute, lower the gain—all in the Edit window.
It seems strange to me. I thought it was a bug, not a developer choice.
But it's definitely as you say. I've been using Studio One for six months and I'm transitioning projects from the other DAW.

Your signature lists "Studio One Pro 7" but please confirm if you're running the latest 7.2.3 release?

In regards to a possible language translation issue for keyboard shortcuts, please post a screenshot of what "Toggle Mute" shows for you.

Here's what it looks like for me...

Also the link for "Feature Requests" I posted before is correct so maybe it's an issue with DNS or your Internet Service Provider?

I discovered something very interesting:
Toggle Mute on a range in the Edit Window only works on the first track in a project!
That´s why it doesn't work for GIM Productions (it´s the second track in his example),
and works for Trucky (it´s the only track in his example)

I also tested in full projects. Toggle Mute on a range in the edit window only works on the first track, no other track.
But it also works on any track I move to the top!

EDIT: It´s the same in SO 6.6.4

Thanks @Wolfger for identifying the condition when "Toggle Mute" fails to work in the Edit window!
I'll report this as a bug...
