List of hardware emulations by Presonus

Someone on the facebook group asked for a comprehensive list of the emulations we find on Studio One and their corresponding hardware. There are other partial and incomplete lists going around the internet, so I thought it'd be nice to have a complete one on this forum. Some entries have a question mark next to the model because I'm either not 100% sure or the plugin isn't a direct 1-1 emulation of a specific model. If there's anything wrong, missing or you have better links let me know and I'll edit the post.

Seeing this list makes me sad that I can't get most of these without paying for a sub....:(

I think you may have the stand-alone TriComp missing, which I believe is, if not an emulation, similar to a Drawmer 1973.

I completely forgot about TriComp. The manual doesn't mention it being an emulation but it does have the State Space logo, so I'll add it to the list. Thanks.

You can find some of the optional-at-extra-cost items included with memberships at lunchboxaudio.com (which seems to have the biggest selection), pluginsmasters.com, and bhphotovideo.com. In theory the PreSonus site sells them, but they're listed as sold out...although how you can "sell out" of something that people download mystifies me

It's not really an issue to me personally but I can't be the only person that thought that all the Fat Channel stuff was included in the V7 perpetual licence. It's all in the clever wording of their V7 licencing announcement. I only noticed because I own 5 of the 15 items in collection that came, I think, with V4 (it was a while ago!) and the installer throws up activation errors for the other 10 items.

I wouldn't use them anyway but my OCD would love to get rid of those errors.

The TriComp is not a hardware emulation. The State Space logo is also not an indication that it is an emulated device. Rather, it shows that components of real hardware have been simulated here, but not necessarily entire devices. In the TriComp, for example, it is the saturation circuit, which is based on real existing analog circuits.

In the list above, however, you have completely forgotten the pedalboard. Even if it can be part of the ampire, it is a separate multi-effect with several hardware emulations of legendary analog devices.

For example, the FAT (RAT) is a must for all TB-303 users! ;)

It's more like I have no idea what they're emulating other than the obvious ones (RAT, Tube Screamer, Big Muff and Whammy), maybe we can figure them out collectively. Should I take the TriComp from the list?

Yes, because it isn't an hardware emulation. Although it uses hardware emulated circuits.
