Got a phone call on Sunday night that there's a last second change that I need to re-comp and subsequently re mix into a song that needs to be at the label by noon today in Paris for review and I discover this while attempting to log into our collaboration in workspaces an hour ago?

Absolutely livid at this. The nerve to do this with no warning. Both me and the artist have attempted to create a Fender account to no avail. Just finished writing an email that nobody wants to send to a label that hired you. Can't even explain the situation because it sounds so absurd. "Well Fender bought them three years ago and get this, the date they decided to stumble on the account management just so happens to be October 7th, the exact date we agreed upon in May to have the label review the record! I know you've set the mastering date for Friday but hey, let them know Fender mismanaged some stuff. I'm sure it'll be fine." Bonkers.

A massive fumble and I cannot stress enough how frustrated and angry I am right now.

It's infuriating and steps into lawsuit territory imo, but good luck suing Fender.

Can't create a Fender account, can't log into a Fender account, out of coffee, but it finally feels like fall. So while things are absolutely really dumb, it's been quite pleasant sitting on the porch this morning.

Thank you for your response. I ended up having to finish the mix with a combo of Google Drive and Pro Tools and haven’t had time to mess around with my account. I will look into it this evening.

I'm really glad you found a way to get it done. Having paid work put in jeopardy is never fun. As DAWs and plugins becomes more "authenticated" we are all at risk of not being able to use the stuff we paid for because a server is down or because someone cocked something up.

I have a friend who was unable to drive his shiny new car for 30 minutes because it was updating and got stuck in a loop. The dealer reset the car remotely!!!
