if you buy a studio one 7 licence now does that give you fender studio 8?

if i buy presonus studio pro 7 do i get fender studio 8

Most major web based retailers have already updated any search for Presonus Studio One Pro 7 to substitute Fender Studio Pro 8 returns.
It makes little sense now to purchase an old version of the program new to you.

not really it’s a lot cheaper , if you get fender studio it makes sense

If you currently own S1-V(x), then the upgrade is indeed cheaper. If you are purchasing the application for the very first time going forward, not so much.

Yes. Even if the licence you've been sold is for Studio One V7 Pro, you will have access to Studio Pro 8 in your MyFender account.
The pricing is a little frustrating for new users.
Last year in April I was trying out the demo and as usual for me I hate demos that are crippled. So I decided to buy it.
There was all these weird options that looked like subscriptions to me which is why I was leaving Sonar.
But there was the option to buy a lifetime ownership with one year of updates. Perfect.
It was $312 Can. which I thought was a bit steep but compared to Cubase Artist which was the same price ( upgrade from Elements for me) S1 had more features.
Then I see later on it listed for half that price??
Oh well I guess I should have waited for a sale.
The one year of updates was looking like a bogus deal as well but at least I finally got one finally.
Im good for a long time now.
Oh it says my updates end this April for those who say they got 3 more years.
