Thank you.

"Unfortunately", this ID is correct, so I'm not sure why Studio One is not accepting the license.

I’ve just tested the Harmony Wizard activation to confirm that the activation backend is working as expected, and everything went through without any issues on my end.

So I'm afraid PreSonus support will need to step in and provide guidance, especially regarding the other products that aren’t activating properly.
It’s also possible that this is related to macOS file permission settings, but I can’t give specific advice there as I’m not a macOS user.

@TDF1981 Do you happen to know any steps to try when activations fail on macOS?

I found this support article about activiation issues on macOS. But I'm not sure if it's the cause of this issue:

Thanks Lukas Ive checked my permissions and all is correct. Ive raised a ticket to Presonus, Hopefully they will have a fix.
Jim

HI Lukas, Just to add although I doubt if it's relevant. The other products that failed to activate were soundsets sinstalled while I was a Sphere member. I don't have licence for these sound sets so that's why they failed to activate. I will post Presonus response for your reference.

Hi Lukas. Presonus response. They suggested that you contact them . Would you mind ?

[Removed exact email text.]
The support agent explained that they have never handled activations for this third-party product and therefore cannot assist with activation issues. They suggested contacting PreSonus directly for help, and mentioned they would forward the matter to their manager as well as recommend getting back in touch with the product’s developer.

I’ve removed the quote from your previous post. Please note that PreSonus support emails include a confidentiality notice stating that copying, forwarding, publishing, or posting their content is not permitted without permission.

Regarding the activation issue: Could you let us know exactly what happens when you enter your activation data on the website and click "Activate"? Does Studio One confirm a successful activation, or do you get an error message?

Hi Lukas, Thanks for doing that. Don't want to upset anyone. When I enter my activation data Studio One confirms successful activation. IT tthen asks me to open Studio One and activate which I do. The activation runs and says activation failed. The images I sent you may help you to see what is happening I could video the process if it helps
Thanks
Jim

It would be great if you could make a video. Actually, when Studio One is already running, the website should directly pass the license to Studio One without having to open it.

Just two ideas:

- Could you try another browser and see if it makes a difference?

- Do you maybe have a tracking / privacy protection enabled in the browser? This may block some of the responses from the server. It might be worth trying out if disabling advanced tracking protection makes a difference.

cool just off out I will try later tonight and report back make a video
Jim

Also disable any firewall or antivirus on your computer or network before testing activation.

Hi Lukas How do I get the video to you as the forum does not seem to allow video upload Ta Jim

Yes, and then use "Insert Media" with the link to it...

Seems I am late to the party but I would have also suggested checking permissions and turning off antivirus for a test.
In addition it might help to open disk utility and check the disk for errors.

Thanks Lukas I will contact them. The reason that the other products are not registering is because I am no longer a member of Studio One Plus so I do not have a license. I will let you know if They come up with a solution Also could I offer a suggestion How about if I completely remove Harmony wizard form my system then you allow me to download a fresh install and see if that works ?

I'm pretty sure installing Harmony Wizard will not solve the problem.

My suspicion is that your other products that can't be activated are the issue. Studio One tries to activate several products at once and since all the additional activations fails, creating the HW license won't be completed. Also, it's very likely that PreSonus never tested the activation of 3rd party extensions when Sphere/S1 Pro+ extensions can't be activated. It's probably a test case that never took place.

I will reach out to the developer at PreSonus who takes care of licensing and copy protection and will ask if that might be why activation fails.

Could you ask support if there's a way to remove these additional subscription products from your list of products to be activated?

I admit it's the only idea I have left.

We are thinking along the same lines. Brian from Presonus is helping with this I've suggested that I resubscribe to Pro + for one month and run the activation. I will go back and ask if the sub products can be removed. I will keep you informed Again Lukas thank you for all of your help.

That's a great idea to prove whether 3rd party activations fail when a customer cancels a Studio One Pro+ subscription.
