Solved Harmony Wizard non responsive

DR 5 Notes

New member
HI,
Hoping Lukas will pick this up. I had to reinstall Studio One. Ive activated Harmony wizard however the extension is completely non responsive. How do I get it working again

Welcome to the Forum!

Does Harmony Wizard show that it's "Active" when you search for it in "Installed Content"?

What exactly does "non-responsive" mean? Are any of the HW commands visible in the Action menu in the Note Editor?

When you choose Studio One -> Activate Purchased Items, does it list Harmony Wizard?

HI Trucky NO it doesn't which is strange as I clicked the activation button and got a message that it had been activated
that I had backed up as I thought that I would not have to reinstall or active it up I was asked to reactive again which I did and got activation successful

Hi Lukas It does not seem to want to activate and if I try to download and try to active manually I get the message invalid licence file

This wasn't a good choice. If your system has changed or for some other reason Studio One generates a new computer ID, this ID will not match the old license. Transferring copy protection files to new installations is generally not advisable.

Please delete the .license file for HW in License Store, restart Studio One, and activate it again.

How do I get around this ? Do I uninstall harmony wizard and carry out a fresh installation ?

Didn’t you mention that you manually copied the .license file into the folder? Or did you just activate using the previous license file?

In Studio One, go to Help and select Show Settings Folder. Then, navigate to the License Store subfolder and delete the Harmony Wizard.license file. After that, restart Studio One and activate it again using your license key.

Hi Lukas I completely reinstalled Studio One however Harmony Wizard will still not activate. Please advise

Just confirming...

Did you delete the Harmony Wizard license file, reinstall Studio One and then try activating it using your license key?

Hi Lukas I completely reinstalled Studio One
Re-installing Studio One or Harmony Wizard won’t fix a broken license. If your license store is corrupted, the only solution is to delete the Harmony Wizard license file, as I suggested in my previous post.

however Harmony Wizard will still not activate.
We would need more details about what this means exactly.

HI Lukas I deleted the Harmony Wizard licence file and all other files except the Studio One user license file and the extensions folder as Presonus support instructions.

I then carried out a fresh installation. I was asked to activate Harmony wizard so I clicked the button It said Harmony wizard was activated however the activation log said Harmony Wizard activation failed.

Ive just looked in the new licence store folder and there is not a lruschitzka.harmonywizard.license key in that file.

Harmony Wizard is installed in my Studio One but non responsive, I guess as it cannot be activated using the normal method.

I had to reinstall Studio One.
Per your original post, why did you need to reinstall Studio One?

Also, is your computer running any firewall or antivirus software that may be blocking activation?

Please update your signature (see link and example in mine).
This information helps in response to reported issues or questions.

Splice sound search had stopped working I contacted Presonus support and they suggested a complete reinstall which got splice working. No anti virus software. All of my other Studio One add ons activated fine. It's just Harmony wizard. I may submit a ticket if Lukas can't come up with a fix

Hi Lukas I contacted Presonus but they have explained that as its a third party plug in they cannot assist with tech support.
So you are my only hope . There must be away to get Harmony wizard back running on my system. It's a very valued extension to me. Hope to hear from you with a solution soon

Support is correct that HW is a third-party extension. However, since activation extensions is entirely handled by Studio One, PreSonus should actually provide support for activation issues.

It's difficult to give further advice if none of the suggestions seemed to work. Could you send me a screen capture showing the contents of the License Store folder, as well as the entire activation process including all error messages?

HI Lukas Please find attached Appreciate your help. I have reopened my Studio One ticket referring them to your response as well so maybe they will be more supportive Jim

Thanks for providing the screenshots and reproduction steps.

However...

...this doesn't seem to be the case as your screenshot shows a lot of add-ons / Sound Sets that failed to activate. So it's not only Harmony Wizard.

My suspicion is that somehow the computer ID that is used for activation does not match your actual computer ID / hardware hash.

Could you please send me your computer ID so I can compare it with the one I see in my activation backend? To view your computer ID, go to Studio One → Studio One Activation, then select "No Internet Connection? Activate Offline". It will display an Activation Code. Please send it to me via PM or post it here (it's not sensitive data).
