Do Presonus employees lurk here (even though this is unofficial)?

I'm wondering if Presonus employees pay attention to threads like this, of course nothing beats a ticket.

Before somebody writes it, I know these forums aren't run by Presonus.

I'm sure some do. You may even get the occasional 'I will check with my contacts' comment. The thing is that not all of them do, so depending on the subject the appropriate individuals in PreSonus may not see the post. A ticket ensures that they do :)

Yes, but randomly.

Many of the beta testers are here though. So if there was some sort of major issue, it would get picked up and tested by them and reported to the devs.

This forum is run by Ari and me. Ari is part of the PreSonus Software team, and I work for PreSonus.

As you correctly said, this forum is our private side project. We both grew up with forums and felt that users should have a place to connect and exchange ideas about Studio One after the official PreSonus forum was discontinued. It's fully self-funded and completely independent, with no official involvement from PreSonus.

PreSonus staff might occasionally stop by - it's a public forum, after all. But official support channels should still be used for bugs or technical issues.

I wouldn't describe it as lurking. from what I have seen advice and help are provided within what I imagine are boiler plated NDA's

Cheers to you both.

Warmest regards

Do you know why the official PreSonus forum was discontinued?
Are there any plans to bring it back in the future?
FWIW, I find this forum more "chatty"; which is good.
And I found the official forum more library-like; which is also good.

So Im wondering.....
Maybe just me, but some good people put some time in to answer your question. I know we're all understandably busy, but perhaps a simple acknowledgement?

A lot of folks were laid off in August from PreSonus (I was one of them), including one of the Software Managers that handled UC/Hardware (huge hole to fill) and most of Operations. Their days in BR are numbered. Fender has a shiny new building and will be shuffling those that can actually afford to live in Scottsdale. I expect another "restructuring" in 2027/28.

This entire year has been a circus behind the scenes. They don't know what they are doing.

What does "BR" mean? Brazil?

Baton Rouge, probably...
Typical 44 Celsius Scottsdale days (115 Farenheit) may be just a tad warmer than you're used to.

Ouch! 😟

Actual palace intrigue on our forum!

This does contradict what Gregor Beyerle said in that recent interview.

I totally get the analogy between Gibson and Cakewalk and Fender and Presonus, but there's some major differences. For example when Gibson acquired Cakewalk there were already massive firings and a lot of the developers of the original Cakewalk team were let go, and it was already a declining business. Presonus was acquired at the height of the success. That was the first time we actually broke 100 million revenue and the software team is still identical and has in fact almost doubled. And so it's a completely different trajectory. It's not even comparable because none of the people that were working on Presonus Studio One are not there anymore. They're just, you know, basically equipped now with more resources and more budget to work on.

He is a salesperson of course, but still.

It's a bit peculiar that the most radioactive post in the history of Studio One forums evokes next to no reaction from the same folks who wanted to storm the (soon to be former?) BR headquarters over the initial Fender takeover and subscription policies. Hmm.

No, Gregor was talking about the PreSonus Software team in Hamburg that develops Studio One, Notion, Fender Studio and other PreSonus/Fender software. And he's absolutely correct - all developers and project management members who worked on Studio One 3 are still there.
