Custom Macros Speed Up Workflow

Macro Pages included in the Macro Toolbar can really help Studio One customers customize and improve their workflow.
There's plenty of examples to provide insight for making your own.

Here's an example of a few tweaks I made to the Global macro page.
They reduce the time it normally takes to create arranger sections and also provide an easy way to create loops to play as needed.

Attached are the custom macros I'm using for these...

The [Markers] button uses the attached "TK Create Song Markers" custom macro.

The [Labels] button uses the attached "TK Labels" custom macro.
(Please note that it requires Color Toolbar 3 to automatically color the arranger sections)

The [Play Loop] button uses the built-in "Loop Selection" command.

The Global "Action" dropdown menu provides a convenient way to check out all of the installed macros...
Exploring them might inspire you to embellish or create your own macro page specific to your workflow!

Hey Trucky,

How do you import the two macros that you created? I downloaded to my desktop and tried importing from inside the macro organizer but was only given the option to import macropages... Operator error (me) I assume? Suggestion?

Thank you!

thank you!!!

Macropages also provide a convenient way to add the included macros to the Macros folder.

To make it easier for you, just download the attached macropage which includes the same buttons/macros shown in the original post and input it via the Macro Organizer.

After the macropage is added it's super easy to move an item on the macropage to another macropage.
In this example I'm moving "Markers" from the TK Song Starter macropage to the Global group of the Global macropage (included with Studio One).

Nice thread. However - do wish that Presonus would allow S1 to actually store a fav macro toolbar with a song template so the intended panel would be ready to go - each time the template was used for a new track.

But alas - no. The macro toolbar has a mind of it's own and is disconnected from all templates - making it a hassle to re-select the intended macrobar each time.

Are you sure about this?
I just tested this and so far my favorite macropages display in all my templates.

Your test is fine - as long as that one macropage works for you and ALL your templates.

In my case - I have 4 main templates and about 16 different macrobars.

What I want is Template A to come up with Macrobar C.

And Template B to come up with Macrobar D etc etc.

Right now - if Macrobar A is selected on one song - I get A on every song template - regardless of which template I load. Not useful at all.

I have to switch between two macro toolbars all the time - so I wondered:
  • is it possible to combine two ore more toolbars? (my horizontal space is plenty)
  • is it possible to assign a keyboard shortcut to certain macro toolbars?
Thanks
Lars.

Yes, you can right-click groups and move them to different pages.

Yes, a "Select Macro Page" command was added in version 6.1:
