Change settings from General MIDI file

Hi all:

I import a general midi file. Some of the volume/patch/etc settings are not what I want, but they seem to be embedded in the track data.

There is no “list view” where you can see/edit these values. The only solution I can see is to copy notes from the piano roll view and paste them in a blank track.

There must be an easier way. Why can’t we have a list view?

Thanks, Mike

As you say there's no list view. But you don't need that to edit automation points. Just open the instrument parts in the Note Editor, select the part automation you want to edit in one of the automation lanes, right-click a point and change the value.

Thank you. Yes I know this. But it seems if I mute or delete the first two measures of a track, somehow the parameters are “glued” to the track and still affect the track.
