Can someone tell me why I have to accept 3rd party cookies (no opt-out, no options) to watch these uploads? Until then they are useless to me.

PS. Interesting. After posting in this thread I can see the content of the uploads. Apparently I've now accepted the cookies without ever giving my consent. Very curious and probably a practice punishable by law!

Because embedded YouTube videos place cookies in your browser storage - something we unfortunately cannot prevent. That's why this website wouldn't be GDPR-compliant without displaying a cookie prompt before allowing access to such external content.

The GDPR is actually quite a challenge if you're in the EU and want to launch a website without risking legal trouble.

You should have already seen the cookie consent dialog when you first visited the site and made your choices there. I'm not 100% sure anymore - setting all of this up was a bit of a pain - but as far as I remember, whether or not you can see embedded YouTube content depends on whether you accepted third-party cookies in that dialog.

Well, the whole cookie phenomenon is a PITA to begin with. Most people have no idea what they allow others to see by accepting them without scrutiny. My point here is that I get this all or nothing option without even knowing who's asking. Maybe that can be improved.
