Atom SQ selecting plugin preset issue with Impact

Steps to Repro:

Add Instrument track:

Input = whatever
Output = IMPACT

Bring up the plugin window for Impact (make sure it is in focus).

On the Atom SQ, hold down the shift button, and spin the right screen encoder (dial to the right of the display).
Notice Presets will be selected, try spinning the dial up and down, loading presets etc, it will work at first, and then eventually it will get laggy, and you will no longer be able to select a Preset. I appreciate these presets can take a long time to load up, but waiting for them doesn't get me anywhere..

You can getting it working again by changing the plugin preset with your mouse, or closing and opening the plugin window, but going back to the dial, it will soon freeze up again. Try turning this dial for about a minute if you find difficulty reproducing.

I've only been able to reproduce this in Impact/Atom SQ/latest Fender Pro software.
SQ is on latest drivers and firmware. Windows 11 is the latest.

Can anybody else reproduce please?

Thankyou....

Yes. I have reproduced this exactly as described.
Although the consistent "cause" seems to simply be turning the dial fast (which of course one wants to do at times). When I stick to turns of about 4-dial clicks per second or below it maintains cohesion.

Thanks, I think this is an impact issue with SQ as I can't reproduce it with other plugins (Studio One coding issue and/or Impact regardless) OR it could be with any large preset that takes a long time than usual to load.

...For what it's worth, I find this issue with any sample based instrument. I get the same "laggy" fast dial thru presets behavior in SampleOne, the heavier sample based sounds in Presence (for example the strings), Cinematic Lights, and Lead Architect.
And in Mojito and MaiTai it just rips thru the presets with no hesitation when spinning the dial fast.
This makes perfect sense to me. Any presets with larger samples are going to take a second or so, and if you've just called on, say, 20 presets in fast succession with a swirling dial, it's gonna take some time.

Right. But with the Atom SQ (and only repro'd with impact so far) when it takes some time it just stops working altogether (as per steps first post, I assume that's what you validated).

Also there could be better behaviour, i.e. the preset doesn't load until a few seconds of dial inactivity which would allow us to flip through. Maybe that could be a preference setting (or even cancel the loading of a preset, although I doubt that's possible).

Sorry. Yes, I see what you're saying. You are right. In Impact it gets completely bogged down and doesn't recover without the "help" like you suggest, whereas in the others one simply has to wait a little bit and it "catches up"
