Solved ARC 3 Stopped Working With Presonus Studio One 6 Pro

Hi all,

Posting this here in case anyone has found a fix for this. ARC 3 has suddenly stopped working with my copy of Studio One Pro 6 out of the blue. I think the plugin loads, but the UI is just a blank grey box in Studio One.

Has anyone else encountered this issue before? If so, I'd appreciate if you'd be able to share how you managed to fix it.

Studio One 6.6.4 is the final release for that version of Studio One.

Are you running the latest driver release for the AMD Radeon RX 6900XT?

What screen resolution and scaling setting are you using?

Another plugin had a similar issue and this was the workaround you could try to see if might also work for you.

In true "when you have a hammer everything looks like a nail" fashion I'd just check that the "nahimic" driver hasn't found its way on to your system

run msconfig, look in services, tick "hide all microsoft services" at the bottom to clean it up a bit and just check that there's nothing called "nahimic" in the list.

Guess what? Despite knowing better, reinstalling ARC 3 seemed to be a step I missed out in my troubleshooting process.

I just reinstalled ARC 3 and now it works fine. Sigh.. *face palm*

An interesting point to note was that the IK Product Manager informed me that I had a newer version of ARC 3 installed on my computer already, but reinstalling the old version somehow worked? 🤔

Is it just my imagination, or am I seeing quite a few posts relating to issues with the AMD Radeon graphics cards?
 
pleased it worked out for you @Tamago San. As an aside, the IK product manager is one reason I don't have many IK products.

I think for me it's more of an issue with IK Product Manager.

Mmmhmm.. tell me about it. The files are so large for some of them and take a long time to download and require a lot of space, especially for Sampletank. I still leave quite a bit uninstalled and install them only when I need them.

That being said, I'm really pleased with my IK MTMs together with ARC 3. They are exceptional for the price! I've finished a couple of songs with this combination and my mix seems to translate well!
 
Just a confirmation for you. Using SO7, loading ARC3 resulted in no GUI. Re-installed ARC3 (same version) and it works fine.

Go figure ...
