ADD ON APPS... PAINFUL!!!

Can't tell you how frustrating it is to have to download, signup, register, install, unlock enter credit card info for some 20 supposedly "FREE" apps! Some of the stuff I actually wanted to try wont even open to a download page. The Arturia Software Center? I almost kicked my screen in! after checking myself to see if I was having a stroke, I enter my email for the 10th time. Response: "The email address you entered is not in the correct format, please try again". At this point, I may just go check myself out the mirror to ensure I'm not boi-yoi-yoing! I give up. I don't hate Pro 8, but all the Claim offer crap could've been part of the Studio Pro Installation. I've been using this thing for a week and didn't notice Tonalic wasn't part of the installation. Thus began my odyssey into the sign up swamp! When I calm down next year maybe I'll try some of this stuff

Hell no. I don't install most of this stuff. So would have to uninstall if what you suggested were to be implemented. The previous Arturia adder was actually a + here, and I already had, and would guess that many here would already have, an Arturia account . I did claim Tonalic but haven't tried it yet. I think the important thing is to be strategic in what you choose to download and try. Much of it may not be worth the trouble.

Latest versions of Pro Tools suffering from exactly the same problem - loads of bloatware - 3rd party apps with subs or crippled versions, very little improvement in the core product, few bug fixes. All a bit depressing, frankly.
