A Nod to the Metronome

The metronome additions got somewhat swamped in the noise of the SP8 announcement and I didn't really pay them much attention but I have actually found them really useful.

I'm talking about those drums. I've always found it easier to play along with a basic drum beat rather than a somewhat sterile metronome click so in the past I've tended to paste a drum loop multiple times across an audio track. No need for that any more. "Crowd Surf" is my standard choice. Boom tish, boom boom tish....

You can also add your own beats to the metronome so I have added a four-to-the-floor dance beat and a couple of generic 3/4 beats.

So thank you to whoever came up with that. A small but useful QOL improvement. (y)

Totally agree. Cakewalk Next added that a few years ago when it was released. So it’s not a never been done before. But it’s so obvious that you wonder why?
I always used a drum machine type loop. I have copied dozens out of my old Roland 505. But that takes a bit of setting up. So having a few grooves in the metronome is dead easy to use.
