Solved Windows 10 to Apple Mini Mac

Currently running Studio One 6 on HP Envy laptop Windows 10 which is losing MS support in October. Considering switch to Apple. Would the specs of Mac shown be an improvement over Windows 11?
Also I am curious in regards to the instrument files I use in Windows 10 will not
be usable on Mini Mac Studio One.
Where do I acquire workable instrument files for my new setup?

Yet another familiar handle from the old Cakewalk forum.
Can’t answer about Macs but most all VST plugins seem to have a Mac installer when you go to their website.
I don’t think there are Mac versions of the Sonar collection like Dim Pro.

Also note that Apple's proprietary AU virtual instrument format is not needed or is even advised against for Studio One on Mac. VST3 (or VST2 if you must) is perfectly fine.

What I have done is keep my old Windows computer. Connect an audio and midi interface to it. Then I sequence it externally. eg treat it as a virtual Instrument. That way you can open up older apps and virtual instruments etc. and they can still be part of the Mac setup.

Also don't under spec the Mac M4 either. You would be better off with 32G of RAM and at least a 512 SSD. (Even 1TB) You will need external drives for large sample libraries etc..
