What will happen to this forum and its contents?

Now that Studio One has been renamed, will this forum also be renamed or disappear without a trace like the previous Studio One one did?

Nothing will happen to this forum.

We've already added "Fender Studio Pro" to the relevant subforums, and you can also reach the forum via https://studioproforum.com

At the moment, there are no plans to rename the forum itself.

Why would we make it disappear? This is an unofficial user forum, run independently. There is no reason for us to take it down. The forum exists for the community, and that hasn't changed.

Glad to hear that Lukas. Unfortunately, asking questions and searching for answers will now require working in both areas (Studio One and Fender Studio) since the two programs are almost the same thing.

No. Studio One and Fender Studio Pro share the same subforums. There's no need to "work in both areas".

We have a separate subforum for Fender Studio (the free app) which is not almost the same thing but a very different program.

I don't mean to be a pest so please forgive my questions. I just want to understand for future use. For example, if I look for help on how to do something in MIDI within the "Studio One subforum" will I automatically get answers that are found in both the Studio One subforum as well as the Fender Studio sub forum without having to conduct an actual search in both subforums? Since the two programs are very much the same in many ways, I can imagine that different users could ask the same question in either forum.

As I said, they're not very much the same. Fender Studio has no MIDI. Just search in the "Studio One & Studio Pro - Community Support" forum.

Fender Studio: Free software for recording and jamming, can be used on computers and smartphones / tablets
Fender Studio Pro 8: The next version of Studio One Pro 7.

Disappear without a trace? Really? Fender Studio Pro is the exact same DAW as Studio One Pro with a different label on it. Nothing disappeared.

Sorry, I should have written Fender Studio Pro 8 instead of Fender Studio. So, basically we can ask questions and discuss things about both the old Studio One Pro and the new Fender Studio Pro 8 all in the same old Studio One Pro subforum in which I am writing now? Is that correct. I was just confused since there is a tab on the top that says Fender Studio Pro 8 and was thinking that all the topics that had to do with Fender Studio Pro 8 would go to that subforum and not to this subforum. I'm not dumb and not trying to be offensive. I just wish to understand.

Its all good. Ask away.

Pretty sure someone will chime in - regardless of which version is in play or where your post might land.

I used to abbreviate Studio One to S1 in my posts until someone got upset about it. But Fender Studio Pro 8... I think FSP8 will do just fine for now ;)

Correct. The subforum is called "Studio One & Studio Pro - Community Support" so you can ask about these both programs. Like you could already ask about Studio One 6 and Studio One Pro 7... now you can also ask about Fender Studio pro 8 :-)

Thank you for the clarification!

Im already calling it just Pro 8.
It seems like if I said Im using Pro 8 everyone would know exactly what I mean.

The main software was basically called “Studio One.” No matter what version, no matter what class. No company name, no number.
So if the most commonly used abbreviation there was (or still is) S1, then logically it should now be

Studio Pro or SP

 🤷‍♂️

Most folks refer to SO1.(ver No) which helped folk when describing which version they were referring too.

I quite like SP8 keeping the numeral available for the future. :)
