What happened to this midi input method in Studio Pro 8?

I cannot get this to work. In Studio One 6, I would often times use third party arps or Scaler 3 into an instrument as midi input. But for some reason in Studio Pro 8, it does not work - I have pictures of both S1 and Studio Pro 8, and effectively am doing the same thing.

Possibly a bug. I always did it via track input routing and that still works.

yeah, but with this method you have to have monitoring on which is kinda annoying. I tested on both mac os and windows 11, the issue persists. So its either a change in behavior or a bug.

I am not sure what the point of using that insert is now.

Best advice: open a support ticket and report the bug. Incl. step by step description and your screenshots.
