What are your five most used Presonus plugins?

I like Presence for keys and bass, but is also good for all-around sketching
Impact is pretty darn good for certain styles

I do a lot with included FX and VSTi before reaching for 3rd parties, which includes EZD, AD and Kontakt more than others

Ooh, I forgot Impact XT! I use it all the time. Over the years, I have created multi-output kits based on my favourite drum machines and electronic drums from the 1980s (guess who became a teenager in 1980! ;)).

Impact XT (Now, simply "Impact", again) is a really useful instrument. It seems its biggest fault is the bad preset kits and lack of utilizing the multi layer, and better samples from the Studio One library. On the other hand, the real capability of Impact comes into play when one sets up custom multi-layered kits. With a little creativity with layers, round-robbins and such, the percussion, be it acoustic, latin, electronic, and so forth can be excellent. I typically drag in multiple hits of snares, cymbals, and such, re tune, re level, and so on. I'm very happy with the offering as well!
Those not in favor of Impact tend to be want it all now, types. There lies the difference in how much one puts in, and gets out.

I use a number of other 3rd party offerings, but Impact is extremely useful.
Sounds like you're benefiting from its rewards as well. Enjoy!

As I only do 80s-style music (all I can do, to be honest!), one single-shot sound per pad is enough for me, just like on the classic drum machines of the day. I'm easily pleased!
But yeah, I love Impact's simplicity.

That too! That Linn sound is always there as well. Impact is just served real well when taking time with it. Nice for a bundled offering in a DAW.
