Solved Virtual instrument at -130dB, but still perfectly hearing sound

How akward. I have this, at the same time :
Presence -130.png
Presence -130 Main OK.png

All the rest is muted. I have an automation on my instrument track, putting the volume to -130, as you can see. But no audible change, instrument is heard to full volume. Nothing in the instrument volume meter, but plenty of blue in the main volume meter.
I just don’t know what to do here. Any help would be much appreciated.

Your screenshot doesn't show the whole mix so more details needed...

Any Insert FX, Sends on Channel 11 or Main, other channels Soloed, Mix FX enabled?

Thanks for your answer. More detailed screenshots below. Those are the only channels soloed, the rest is muted (and indeed, it’s the only thing i hear… even if it shouldn’t be the case at -127 dB). Also this : when I slowly lower the volume fader myself, the volume effectively lowers ! 🤯
(Restart S1/restart Windows : no effect.)

You've got input monitoring switched on (the light blue 'speaker' button). See what happens when you switch it off.
What ?? It worked !! Thank you so much !
But please can you explain why ? How could the two be related ?

Input monitoring (which is what the Monitor button does) can take a different path inside Studio One and still end up in your speakers, depending on how you configured your song, your song's I/O and your interface. I haven't been able to quickly recreate your situation (maybe others can chime in) and it's with an instrument channel which may also be part of it. Maybe you can post a few screenshots showing your I/O Setup?

Yes, I can do that. Is this the I/O setup you mean ? :

Yes that's it. Unfortunately it doesn't explain what's happening yet.

So, new angle: Your screenshots in this thread all show solo'ed channels (yellow 'S' buttons selected). It means that channel routing is no longer 'normal' which may have some strange side effects too. Try switching off all solo buttons by [Ctrl]-clicking one of them. If this makes mute buttons (red 'M') switch on then also [Ctrl]-click one of those to switch them off too.

I did what you said, but same behaviour. I also tried with other automations, and rather interestingly, when monitoring is on, the Transpose automation works (I can hear it), but not the Panning one. I mean, just like the volume, I can see it graphically changing, but with no audible difference.
