Video support not install in Studio One 7.2.2

When I try to drag and drop a video in Studio One, I cant drop anything as is always shows a red circle with a slash. If I try to play a global video track player it says "Video support not installed"

Studio One relies on system-installed codecs, not its own internal decoding engine. A video that doesn't play is often due to a missing or incompatible codec. It's likely that the codec Studio One needs to decode the file isn't installed natively in W10.

Regarding format, bear in mind that "MP4" is more like a container than a file type. It could be a wrapper for a variety of potential formats. For example, common file extensions it handles are H.264 (AVC), H.265 (HEVC), MPEG-4 Visual, VP9, etc. Audio isn't standard either. It's probably AAC, but could be MP3, ALAC, or any one of several others. You can try installing the Windows 10 Codec Pack or the K-Lite Codec Pack (the Standard version is probably good enough).

Another option is to convert the file. The VLC media player can play just about any video format, without needing the appropriate codec installed in Windows. So, it's a good way to test a file before trying to import it into Studio One. If VLC can play the file, then it can probably convert the file to MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. It's almost certain W10 will have suitable codecs for those formats, so Studio One will know what to do with the file.

Hope this helps...
