Video Playback Speed

Is Fender Studio Pro 8.0.3 able to directly alter the playback speed of an MP4 video file such that the audio and video remain synced? If so, will it allow looping as it does for audio files?

If not, is there any work-around for this?

I notice RealPlayer is able to alter the synced playback speed but only in large increments; 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.5x, and 2.0x.

Not to my knowledge on the video part (I could be wrong tho), but if you extract the audio track from the video, it can be time base manipulated.
If you want to stretch or shrink (within reason (+/- 10% for example), you could try DaVinci Resolve (free DL AFAIK) or Adobe online (also free, but you have to UL the source files.
I generally do this in my offline NLE video sled.

Thanks Outrage, I suspected as much.
Hopefully this is on the new features list for future FSP releases, for me, staying in one environment is a happy place :)

Since the SO/SP API uses the installed OS codecs for video playback, I wouldn't hold my breath on that being in the long term game plan. Real video manipulation is an entirely different can of worms. Spread your wings.

Audio programs are generally not the place to be altering or even editing video. Divinci Resolve (Free) can do it and extract the audio at the slower or different speed. It's the better tool for the job. Plus being an amazing video editing program.
