Undo command on song project not working during editing

Not sure if there's a similar issue shared in this forum. On my current project, I'm having trouble using the Undo (Cntrl+Z) command in Studio One 6. Interestly, the command works when tracking (recording) but when I try to doing any kind of editing changes, the Undo command simply won't work. If I go into some of my past projects, other songs, I don't have this issue - Ctrl-Z works in those songs. I've only encountered this problem once or twice in past projects.

Solution or no? Is the project file corrupted somehow or did I accidently toggle off the use of this command (therefore manual correction possible? I should also point out that the Undo command in the macro window doesn't work also on this project. If I make a mistake during editing I can't go back and correct it. I have to put this project on hold or start over. Any thoughts?

Check your undo history. Sometimes control actions occur and undo simply reverts one of those to its prior state, which may be imperceptible to you if you are expecting something else to happen. You may have to go back ("up") several steps in your history to undo the action you are looking for if there are a bunch of these occurring in the intervening timeline.

Never had a need to use History, so I checked it out and saw nothing in particular. Doesn't have timestamp which could be helpful. Does it matter if I save my versions as new song files? Will I need to go to each filename till I find the one moment where it messed with the Undo?

Anyway, I did notice after closing the DAW then reopening that I got my Cntl Z back momentarily. But then when I recorded a new instrument track and wanted to edit and resume undo/redo activity the commands stopped working. I'm thinking it's running out of memory for some reason. I should add that I've been doing Melodyne on the vocal tracks. So perhaps this a memory resource issue, but in some way corrupted on this project. I 've have way more tracks, instruments, plugins, melodyne on other projects with no apparent memory trouble.
