UADx Ravel Grand Piano locks SOP7 on Song Start-Up Scan

Greetings to all!
Thank you for the Studio One Forum!
Long-time Cakewalk Sonar Platinum user, turned SOP at V4 when Sonar/Cakewalk turned into Bandlab in China...

Happy to find the forum and just wanted to see if UADx Ravel Grand Piano was causing anyone else grief?

To be fair, it's a heavily loaded "Song" that locks up at the Ravel plugin scan when I attempt to open it.

I checked SOP blacklist, cleared cache, verified latest version w/UADx software, etc...

Once I launched SOP in safe mode and removed Ravel, the Song file opens just fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum!

I'd recommend contacting UAD support to report the issue and confirm that they've tested that it works in Studio One.

Let me try this - need to download Ravel first, on a slooow internet connection......

OK, using UA Connect 1.8.2.3451 (probably not relevant) and Ravel 1.4.16, this loads and plays a midi file just fine on S1 7.2.3 on MacOS, using a new song at 96KHz, 32 bit float. I saved the song with the Midi file and Ravel in place, quit S1 and fired it all up in one go, and it still works.
RAM usage is about 2.5GB for S1 and CPU is trivial.

So, it may be your song, the version of Ravel, or something that happens on S1 on Windows but not Mac.

Hey, sorry you're having problems. I just tried it here on my PC, seems to work fine here. Probably can't give you solutions beyond what others have suggested, but thought I'd chime in since most of the other folks here are using Macs.

Good luck,
Dean
