Transport / Mix channels have conflicting automation modes?

I'm trying to make some key commands for my stream deck and I have quick buttons to change thro all the automation modes on it, but sometimes I change automation mode and it will do it on the upper transport track, and sometimes on the mixer bottom track?
Shouldn't these be in sync? Why are they acting independently?

Thank you!

Since tracks and channels are not the same in Studio One, automation will on either one will not automagically be the same in the other..

even for audio tracks? That doesn't make sense to me ... why would I want two separate automations?
I just record bands, I don't do instrument tracks.
Is there a way to make them one? When I hit write automation it should be on both and read should do the same, no?
thanks for the reply!

Please update your signature (see link and example in mine) with your system specs.

List the steps to reproduce what you're referring to so I can try to confirm on my system.

I don't have a stream deck to confirm.
Automation is in sync for me with audio channels/tracks when I change modes using the mouse.
Are they in sync when you use the mouse?
