Track selection bug when importing multiple audio files

Hi everyone,

After importing multiple audio files together and placing them into a folder, I'm consistently having two issues editing.

1. Selection tool selects the clips above/below the ones I'm actually dragging the box around

2. When dragging clips around, the preview for the new event placement is offset by 2 tracks

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm on S1 7.2.2, MacOS Ventura 13.7.4, M1 Max

Does this happen in every song, and also after a restart of Studio One?

Hi Lukas,

Restarting fixes, but as soon as I expand/collapse the folder the issue returns.

I think I've had this happen in other sessions but I'm not 100% sure. In my testing now, I'm not able to reproduce it with another song.

Then this might be hard to reproduce - unless you can share a stripped down version of the song, just with the tracks that cause this issue.

Thanks, Lukas. While I was making a stripped down version of the song to upload, I noticed that the issue seems to be related to hidden tracks. It kept happening until I deleted some of them. I opened the original session again and it seems like even just re-toggling the visibility of those hidden tracks fixes the issue. I saved and restarted S1 and haven't been able to reproduce the bug since.

Glad to have a workaround for my case, but curious why it might have happened in the first place. Will keep an eye out for this in the future and post again with more info if it comes up.

Good to hear you found a workaround. Debugging issues like this can be interesting (and sometimes even fun)...

If you can still send me a version of the song where this occurs and can be reliably reproduced, I’ll report it to the team. Otherwise the issue won't be fixed.
