track recording not arming

I am using studio one with audiobox (red) interface. I cannot arm the record for a track. this happened once before and I can't remember how I solved it

You have to link an interface input to a track before you can arm it for recording. So in the song's I/O settings you have to create a few channels and link them to interface inputs, and on the tracks you have to select one of those channels per track for input.
