Track Presets with instrument and effect channels

I have an instrument track with an instrument loaded and some insert effects. Then I drag "Room Verb" into the sends section of the channel and tweak the parameters of the room verb in its effects channel. Finally, I drag the instrument track into the browser to save it as a track preset. When dragging the track preset into the track list of a new session, everything is recalled, so it works as expected.
However, when this session already contains an effect channel that is also named "room verb" (because I didn't change its name after creating it via drag and drop), my instrument channel now sends its signal to this existing room verb instead of creating a new effect channel with the originally saved settings of the room verb plugin.
So my question is: How do I save an instrument with effect channels as a track preset, so that everything gets recalled regardless of what effect channels are already in the session?

Edit: there is a workaround by renaming the effect channels - but is there another way?

This is actually a feature I came up with back then in version 6 when Track Presets were introduced. The idea was that, for example, you could have an orchestral template where instruments are routed to an "Orchestra Bus". When you drag a Track Preset into that template, the instrument would automatically be routed to the existing bus in your song.

There might be room for improvement here, since in your case this behavior is not what you want.

The simplest workaround I can think of is to give the bus or FX channel in your Track Preset a more unique or unusual name, so it won't accidentally match an existing channel in your song.
